Bought this because I live in FL and I often lose power during the summer rains. I needed to get a splitter since I have fiber + my router. And none of the attachments I have fit it properly. However, I did get one of them to work (just stuck out a little bit) during a recent outage and it kept it up for over an hour. Which is what I needed it for. The router/Wi-fi that this was supposed to go to is a ZyXEL C1000Z and it has a very odd power connector. It has very small center pin and barrel, so none of the applied adapters worked. Had to buy an assortment of adapters and now I hope one of those will work. Other than that it seems to be a perfectly suitable item as a UPS fer the router. We live in the country and for unknown reasons the power drops out and comes right back several times a month, which always restarts the router. I use this Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) to power the Optical Network Terminal (ONT) that converts the optical signals in the fiber optic cable to electrical signals to the MODEM/Router. I have another UPS for the router and when AT&T switched our internet service to fiber optic, I needed a way to power the ONT also during power outages. The ONT requires 12V DC at up to 0.5A. The 2A rating of this UPS is more than enough. I tested the UPS with a 1A load for more than an hour and the voltage held steady the entire time. The voltage changed slightly when switching to battery mode. I did not notice any heating of the UPS while charging or discharging. It appears to be a well made product that can be used to backup devices, such as routers and modems, that needs 12V DC at less than 2A. ... show more

No Wi-Fi signal only red light when it wants to charge and green when fully charge that's it. Only one light. For the price is ok. Last about 5 hours when charged.

The UPS works well. I have it attached to my AT&T internet box so my internet does not go down if the power flickers. The battery life of this UPS is only 14 months. I just purchased a second UPS to replace the original I purchased 15 months ago. The battery is soldered inside the box. I was unable to just replace the battery.
