This is not a massage chair. The massage feature is a joke. Do not expect the massage feature to do anything for you. It's basically a very gentle chair vibrator. Otherwise, it appeared easy for my companion to remove from box and set up. The chair helps me in and out post-op from hip replacement. It is not unattractive. The heat feature is nice, but I can't use that post-op (doctor directions - ice only). It is comfortable. I like how flat it goes and how easy it is to operate. It came quickly. I wish I would have ordered it earlier!!! I think $500 is a fair price for what it is, as I did a lot of shopping. Just don't buy it thinking you're getting a massage chair too. ... show more

I looked for a recliner that had all the features I wanted and would match my couch. I was nervous about buying on line and not knowing if the color was going to match or if it was comfortable. After looking for days I decided to take a chance with this chair. It arrived 2 days after I ordered it. It came in 2 boxes. It was so easy to put together- took about 10 minutes. After putting it together I sat in it to try out the features and it is so comfortable that I instantly felt like taking a nap! I bought it for my husband who has back pain and sleep issues. 10 minutes after he came home from work he was asleep in his new chair and he slept 4 hours straight! I did a lot of searching and measuring before ordering this chair, I thought it would be great. I received the chair and all the measurements are great except for the footrest. The footrest stops, mid-calf. So half of my calves and my feet have no support! They just hang off the end. The chair feels sturdy to sit in but there is a lot of give in the arms, back, and the footrest when you move or adjust. The surface is soft, the controls work well, the remotes control the position, heat, and massage which are great. At the end of the day, I may recommend this for someone who is 5’2” tall but if you don’t want your feet hangin off, out there, look elsewhere. This is an ok chair for occasional use. This is not for someone who has to sit most of the day, it’s not that comfortable. I can see that the padding will not last for years like I need. ... show more
