I got this for some smaller window panels at my apartment building and it works great to create some privacy without blocking the light. We specifically got this to block the view of our entry room so people can't see whether there are packages sitting out in an effort to deter package theft. So far it's worked well for its purpose. Installation is not as easy as one would think with this though. I'd highly recommend precutting the sheet to the size of your window rather than trying to cut it while it's on the window. And if you can make it a millimeter than the space, it'll make it easier to squeegee without affecting the aesthetic or functional value.

I ordered 3 different name brands of privacy film to try. Each one of them was the same size, but they were all priced differently. One was 6., one 7., and one 8 bucks. I tried all three side by side and do not see any difference in them whatsoever. They all seem to be manufactured by the same company, even though they all have different brand names and pricing. And they all work the same and provide daytime mirror reflection on the outside, with good light and visibility from the inside. They all work well if you want to still see out the window and have light come through, without people being able to see in. This particular brand was the least expensive of the three, so I give it my highest recommendation.
