I bought this e-bike for my wife after doing quite a bit of research. The bike arrived quickly, just in time for Christmas. The day after Christmas, I opened the box thinking I was going to have to spend quite a bit of time “building” the bike. To my surprise, it came almost fully assembled! The only things I had to do were install the pedals, insert the seat and handlebars, and install the front fender, front tire, headlight, and brake light—all of which took under 30 minutes. Once assembled, I was surprised to find the battery was already fully charged. My wife wanted me to ride it first before she did. This e-bike is everything the description says it is! It rides smoothly, is fast, and feels very solidly built. Now I want one too! Great bike, great value ... show more

Shipped quicker than I thought and arrived before delivery date! Bike is as pictured and described. Easy to complete installation. Rides smooth,comfortable and is fast. Folds up neatly. Not sure about the claimed distance but regardless it’s well worth the 600-700 as opposed to paying 1500! Normally you get what you pay for but this bike is very well constructed. Only hope the battery is safe because the battery charger looks really cheaply made. ... show more

Fun, fun, fun to ride. I'm enjoying this bike tremendously despite a few hiccups. Easy to assemble, high quality construction. All required tools are in the box. Advanced hyraulic brakes and Shimano derailleur. Effective front suspension really smooths out the ride. LCD is (just barely) readable in sunlight if viewed at a direct angle. Seat and handlebar height settings easily adjustable with quick release levers. Folds fairly easily and truly takes up half the space when folded. More than fast enough for my taste, 20mph or so on full throttle over level ground, faster using pedal assist at highest setting and top gear. (FYI despite specs on product page, there is no front derailleur, only a single front gear). My limited trial of the bike's true range on a full charge is just under 40 miles over partly hilly terrain with liberal use of full electric mode. Not too shabby for those conditions. On the negative side, -the bike seems really heavy to me at a published weight of 72lbs, including battery. Because of this, I find it difficult to get it started as you would a traditional bike. I have to straddle the bike and give it a little boost with the throttle to get it moving. Mounting it horesback style by placing one foot on the pedal and swinging the other over doesn't work at all for me and can be dangerous if you forget to disable pedal assist. I took a small spill because the motor engaged and the bike got away from me while I was trying to mount it. -the gear ratios seem to be mismatched with the capabilities of the motor. Once pedal assist kicks in, there is no resistance at all to the pedals. Pedalling serves only to keep the motor running, not propel the the bike directly. I don't have any previous experience with e-bikes, so for all I know that's the nature of the beast. You can pedal really fast for aerobic exercise, but for working your muscles you need to use classic cycle mode. -the control panel is a little hard to see and use while cycling. The buttons are small and require significant pressure to engage. The viewing angle for the display is very limiting and I wish it were brighter. Customer service has been great. Communication is fast and responsive. Any issues I have had were promptly resolved. I chose the step over model for its appearance. If I were to purchase another, I would get the step-through style for easier mounting. Although I would certainly consider a lighter bike, I would have no qualms about buying another Cybervelo for my wife if she decides to join me on my excursions. The price is a good one given the advanced features of the bike. ... show more

The bike is beautiful, easy to assemble and runs great. It definitely rides differently than a regular pedal bike so it does take a little getting used to. I live on hilly, rough terrain and it handles it with no problem. Updated 5/17/2026 Since I bought my Electric Bikes around 8 months ago something went wrong with one of the batteries. I contacted customer support and after a little confirming that the battery was no good they immediately sent me a replacement. I love a company that stands bye it's product. I don’t usually update reviews, but in this case, I had to. The customer service from CBVelo is absolutely amazing. From the start, they made it clear they were going to work with me until my issue was resolved. Even though I wasn’t able to fix the derailleur using the video they sent, I took the bike to a local shop, and they were able to make a few adjustments that completely solved the problem. CBVelo reimbursed me for the cost without hesitation. They typically responded to my emails within minutes — truly rare service, especially when compared to larger brands. I’ve purchased other e-bikes before, including one from Rad Power Bikes here in the U.S., and I have to say, CBVelo’s customer support blows them away. As for the bike itself: I love it. It’s incredibly sturdy, rides great, and the battery is much easier to remove than other bikes I’ve owned with a similar frame. This is hands down the best e-bike I’ve purchased — and the stellar customer service just seals the deal. ... show more

I absolutely love my Cybervelo Ebike it was super easy to put together and is very well made I took it for its first spin breaks were slightly squeaky at first but exactly like the owners manual said the squeaking went away after I rode it for about 20 minutes the only thing I had to do was remove the derailer guard because it was interfering slightly when it came to shifting and I adjusted the derailer tension cable a bit to align the chain perfectly which are all super easy to do and now the bike runs beautifully it took about 6 hours to charge if your on the fence about getting one don't be you won't be disappointed and will be highly satisfied with this Ebike I've already put 12 miles on it so happy. ... show more

I waited 1 year to do a review and for the first 5 months it's always great with the exception that it came bent frame on back hub section. After 1 year I can confidently say the support was unhelpful on a catastrophic problem of the back tire forcing itself out from being seated causing multiple crashes, the frame in that area is soft (which is probably why it was bent of delivery). The bike runs nicely overall but it now has to be held together in place with steel zip ties. When support was requested it took 2 weeks to get back to me as well as after the video of the problems was denied by them and said it was just loose, I impact tightened it with no change and was sent out stuff that didn't help that issue. If u have other choices try one of them choices for a bike I would NOT recommend this bike for long term use or for the support service ... show more
