    • Cat hates the door. I like it because it helps when he kicks litter in the air.
Cat hates it. Swatted the door off the litter box!! Cat refuses to go in litter box and insisted on peeing on the floor instead. Cat feels enclosed with it on. We ended up having to cut open the top of the enclosed cat genie with a saw. Cat now enters and exits through the hole in the top of litter box. Still won’t use the door....we keep it on because cat has habit of kicking litter and high arching pee stream. ... show more

    • Doesn’t fit well. Cats are still afraid of it.
The title says it all. It doesn’t fit well and can pop out and then startle an already skittish cat. We are still trying to get our cats to get used to it. Right now we attached it to a cardboard box so they can play and learn how the door works. We tried to just install it on the Cat Genie, but they were too afraid to use the litter box! Hopefully the cardboard box will do the trick. Then I’ll have to figure out a way to get it to stay in place better. Poor design I think. ... show more

    • Only Closes Part Way
The domed door opening is curved, but this door hangs straight up & down so there are big openings or gaps around the sides & bottom of this door when hung. It helps lessen pellets being kicked out, but they still track pellets with their paws. The springs pop off too easily & a lot when you remove the domed lid & have to reattach the door. Expected a lot more for the price. ... show more

Before the hot air would blow out into the bathroom, heating up the bathroom. Which is fine in the winter, not so much for the summer months. This works great to help contain the hot air, and for the cat to not spring action out of the litter box slinging littler everywhere.

    • Badly designed piece of plastic.
So the fact that the door rests between the two halfs of the dome and the rim, and not even a pressure fit it some tabs means that if your cat pushes hard enough it'll fall out. I've had so many issues with the cat genie and was told by many owners that the door is why I've had them issues, that it's honestly not worth it compared to some of the other automatic litter boxes. ... show more
