I bought this as a Christmas gift for my Daughter because she loves mermaids and has been asking for one of these type “blankets”. I was in a hurry and just bought this one without looking at the description. Wow was I surprised! First the packaging was simple and unique and so pretty I didn’t want to pull the blanket out so I left the box intact and let her open it. She absolutely loves it. The the knit outside of the blanket was knitted with very soft yarn and the color is gorgeous. Even better was the fleece lining on the inside which is soft, thick, and warm. My daughter is an adult and around 5’6” tall and wears a size 10 and the blanket fits her perfectly. When she puts her feet to the end it will open up and she can walk (like a penguin). Wow! From the packaging to the product itself, this transaction was amazing. I bought a number of different mermaid blankets, all from different companies. This one, by far, hands down, was THE best! So well made, gorgeous!...and the attention to detail, with the cozy Sherpa backing, the neck strap so you don't have to remove blanket and get cold if you get up, all the way down to the way it's presented to you in a beautiful, nice quality box with tissue, you just can't go wrong with this one. It may cost a touch more than others but believe me...worth every penny and then some! I'm truly amazed and extremely pleased. Even the delivery was lightning fast! I ordered just a few days before I needed it, for a gift for my niece who was going away for the holidays. Honestly didn't think I'd get it before she left so I planned to give it to her when she came back but boy was I pleasantly surprised when it arrived in just 2 days! It's super soft and great quality and the color is just as beautiful as the picture however I gave it 4 stars because it isn't as big as the picture makes it look. It's really tight around my ankles. My legs barely fit to the bottom and the tail doesn't lay flat like that the size in the photo is deceiving. ... show more

None of the pictures other people posted or ones listed show such big gapes. Not only can I see lining but I can poke my finger thru. It’s a shame. Also I wish they had more colors like Red or the grey you used to carry. Just something that doesn’t have pink accents throughout. I’m really don’t like pink. I doubt it will hold up to long term use or multiple washes. If it’s warm enough I will consider keeping it. Even though not much fabric to wrap around/tuck under you. I’m not petite but I’m average size. So basically the only leg position I can get into is lie being in a sherpa lined coffin. Can’t lay on my side because the slit stops at my knees. So the whole back of my thighs and butt are exposed to cold air. Need to get another blanket for backside coverage. I’m only 5’ 6” btw. This must be how they get you to buy a second one to cover your backside! Next time maybe I should find someone on Etsy to make one by hand so it would be actually worth the $$. ... show more
