This is a massive improvement over the plastic cage carriers I had when I was a kid, it is far more convenient for occasional use. The whole thing fold flat for easy storage, including the provided cat bowl. The carrier opens both at one end and around the top. This makes it slightly less easy to escape from, though the soft mesh sides provide very little barrier to an enterprising cat to climb out of. There is a padded insert that can be removed and washed separately, a soft faux-lambswool that our cat has no problem just hanging out on. We are using it for a kitten, though I could imagine if you have a large or strong cat, the mesh on the sides may be too fragile to avoid claw damage. ... show more

    • Cute for an average to small cat
There’s no support built into it so I could see a cat being uncomfortable or maybe a little squished. So I think it would be better for a smaller cat than a large one. But it’s a cute little carrier. My other carriers the cats likes to sleep in even when we aren’t going anywhere- no one wants anywhere near this thing so far. lol. I wouldn’t recommend this for a cat that has..anxiety or is a runner but for a small, calm cat I think it’s okay. ... show more

I've searched quite a bit for an acceptable carrier for my cat. Not acceptable to me, but to her, because she's picky, picky, picky. But this one looks like it might be a hit. I like that it folds flat for storage and it comes with a fleece bottom liner which is infinitely better than loose blankets that always end up in a ball. There are two external pockets, one with a zipper. The material feels sturdy and it comes with a shoulder strap and a little silicone foldable bowl, but I probably won't use that very much. For reference, my cat is about 8 pounds, so she will fit comfortably with room to stretch out if she wants. ... show more

My cats HATE being put in carriers and I'm sure they'd give this zero stars, but it does the job for me. I like the fact thet each side opens fully - unzips around the whole arch, and hinges at the bottom. I can open it all the way, put it on its end, and drop the cat in. They hate it, but it gets the job done. It is mesh most of the way around, so it is easy to see in and out to check on the cats and hopefully keep them from freaking out too much. This pet carrier was pretty basic to me. The carrier has a zipper side access as well as a top opening. It has handles and comes with an over the shoulder carry strap. There is a small sherpa pad inside that can be washed if necessary. The handle was kind of cheap to me. The zippers worked but were not always smooth.     • Exactly What My Cat Needed
One of my cats is a senior with arthritis, heart disease and is blind. With all her vet appointments including some distance to travel for her cardiologist I was looking for a carrier that had room for her to ride in comfortably but not be a danger to her eyes if she bumped the sides. I saw this one and it is purrrfect. It's soft sided enough, has a wonderful pad to lie on, easy to carry either by hand or on my shoulder and comes with a water bowl in case she gets thirsty. Normally when my cats see a travel carrier they run. Not this one! They love it! It has a bed inside and it's nice and soft. The carrier is very durable, easy to set up, and comes with a strap and foldable bowl. We are getting ready to deliver a foster to Michigan from Texas and I'm excited to be able to use this product. This is a great size for small animals/ cats. It was easy to assemble and the bowl was a plus. My only draw back the bed is a little hard. You need a blanket to cushion it.
