  • Actually made a difference!
Size: Ethernet Cable 6 ft
I already have Cat6 running through the house and also between all the network equipment (I have my own modem, router, access points, etc). I hadn't really messed with cat8 cables at all, let alone flat ones. I connected this cable from my PC to the wall (so from wall to switch to router to modem is still all cat6) and was surprised to see better latency as well as a slight boost to download speed! I actually pay for 400/20Mbps from Spectrum but get slightly better speeds due to having my own equipment. I would definitely recommend this cable and I may buy more to use between the switch and router to see if that gives the same boost in latency to the whole house. We're a house full of gamers so latency is a top priority for us. For full disclosure I ran 10 tests over the course of about 15 minutes on each cable type and the images posed are from the best of each. The tests were run in safe mode with no other services running on the PC (confirmed via Wireshark as well as my PiHole DNS Server). ... show more

  • Junk Cables
Size: Ethernet Cable 100 ft
These are not Cat 8 cables!!! I was doing some work in the basement wanted to run the cables above the ceiling so I need longer cables so thought I would get these because they have good reviews. My old cables that had no problem negotiating at 10GBps on my Netgear switches but once I ran these cables and plugged them in my switch the switch would only negotiate at 1GBps could not get the switches to negotiate to 10GBps. So returned and got a different company Cat 8 cables and the switches negotiated to 10GBps. So buyers beware these are fake. ... show more

  • Bandwidth speed bump for devices and extenders. Excellent for the price.
Size: Ethernet Cable 3 ft
Updates 11/19/20 Both cables cat 8 50ft and 3ft cat 8 working weird but it turned out to be my ax 1500 overload. I didn't even download anything big the last few weeks except development tools mx linux update, ide, python libraries, java ide, etc. After reboot it is alright again. Lesson I learned is, i need a better router that could pump out more bandwidth. On my other distro on centos 8, i removed the ip link thinking that something messing it up but losing the ethernet connection. Now i have to reconfigure it again. UPDATES: I actually bought a 50 ft and a 3 ft. Will buy more! Thank you for the nice item. I recently upgraded my Internet service to 400 Mbps 2 days ago. Before that my service was 100 Mbps. It is hard to simulate the pre-400 Mbps service. I didn't keep record (screen captures) and if I did they are somewhere. I like the flat cable because it is easier to setup. I can tape it to the wall and it can go below the door without the worry of ripping it up. Simply amazing. I am hoping it will last and for the price, it really worth it. What I need is to get a 2.5 Gbps LAN card. Look below for the Pro for these cables. 100 Mbps service Wi-Fi With just Wi-Fi, I am mostly between 60 Mbps to 100 Mbps depending on distance. At 5ghz is is faster obviously but with 2.4 ghz sometimes it fell below 60 Mbps or around 20 to 30 Mbps. However, with 2.4 ghz, I am getting a greater distance thus I it is suitable for my IOT devices. I also have AC1200 extender I am using at my garage. Ethernet I was connected to AC1900 extender using cat7 with AC1900 connected to AX1500 through wi-fi. I was consistently getting between 80 Mbps and 110 Mbps. 400 Mbps service Download and Upload speed varies every time you are testing them due to various reasons. Wi-Fi ac1900 extender, 5ghz, wi-fi alone - 106.6 Mbps, 19.5 Mbps ax1500, 5ghz, wi-fi alone - 178.1 Mbps, 19.0 Mbps The day before I was getting above 200 Mbps consistently but today it is 170 Mbps to 180 Mbps. I simply paid for the upgrade service online and waited for the router to reboot itself. The process was around 4 to 5 minutes or so. Cat 8 - Smolink ac1900 extender, 5ghz, cat 7 - 413.9 Mbps, 23.6 Mbps ax1500, 5ghz, cat 8 - 489.4 Mbps, 23.6 Mbps I am planning to get a 2.5 Gbps LAN adapter and at least an AX6000 router (with DDOS protection, WPA3 and other good stuffs) and above. Someday in the future I will upgrade to 940 Mbps service. They said they don't have a contract so you can turn it on and off. With 2.5 Gbps and security features, I could run my web server and other servers with less worry. Now, I need to upgrade my own firewall device using RPI4. Update: 12/1/2021 These cables are still running great. I haven't upgrade my router yet because of the strong signals. However, I might have to upgrade them now since I am planning to add 11 new security cameras and 14 security devices around my house and compounds. I bought them during Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals from Amazon, Woot and Sam's Club. My current router even with the extenders might not able to maintain consistent bandwidth with so many devices. ... show more

  • Great quality cable!
Size: Ethernet Cable 6 ft
So I ordered this cable to replace a faulty cat5 cable I had with it for my NAS, since it gets heavy use, but I decided to test it out a bit first. I hooked it up to my system I use for streaming and had no problems at all. I push that connection pretty heavily because not only am I uploading, but I am also simultaneously receiving a 1080p NDI output from another system on my network. Sometimes I would end up with hitching and frame drops in that ndi stream, but I did not with this over a sustained three hour period. I know cat8 is a bit overkill, but I've always been one for futurepoofing when I buy gear, and since it didn't really cost much I don't mind having this already when I go to upgrade my network down the road. Overall I'm quite happy with this cable and will probably buy a few more when I need them. ... show more

My old CAT5E cable had faster speed tests than this cable...returned! Update: Came back 8 months later and offered to pay me $20 amazon gift card to remove my review. Sorry, NO, I completely stand by my review!

  • Did not work. Is this really CAT 6 compatible
Size: Ethernet Cable 50 ft
Had Verizon technician come out to the house and install an Internet speed upgrade. Knew they used CAT 6 cable so I went ahead and bought a 50ft run of this CAT 8 cable. The technician ran the cable, stapled it and neatly routed it. He connected it to the Fiber ONT and no connection. No lights for Rx and Tx etc. He then ran a second cable using his CAT 6 supplied cable. That worked without a hitch. He and I opened the packaging for this cable and ran it. I and he assumed since it came out of the shipping box that it worked. If I ever buy cable like this again I will test it first before installing it. ... show more

  • Perfect length, good price!
Size: Ethernet Cable 35 FT
Needed to reach ports without rearranging my office; the 20 ft cord I initially bought wasn't long enough, but 50 ft was a waste of money. This one came promptly, with protective covers on the ends, and works great. Very pleased.
