This is a quality ebike in my opinion. I have done both a conversion and had several bikes and this one is a no brainer. For the price of a decent bike, conversion kit and a wasted Saturday, you can get this bike and go riding instead of trying to build one. This controller is also better than any of the controllers I have had. You can customize this to energize for your different gears to match your riding style or that amount of help you want. I was truly impressed. If you are looking and deciding to either do a conversation or buy this bike, buy this bike for sure, you won't be sorry. Great things: Customizable controls to allow for the pedal assist to help how much you want in different gears. Good construction and welds are very good NOT as heavy as I thought it would be. Easy one person lift onto bike rack. Disc breaks were all set and ready to go, no adjustments at all needed. Good things: Bike can pretty much set up with the exception with putting on the front wheel and the seat needing to be tightened. The only thing I had to do was a bit of fine tuning on the rear de-railer. Nothing major but since I knew how to do it, it was worth the few minutes to fine tuen it. NOW the SUPER GOOD: We took this to a beach while camping. The dog beach was 10 miles away. If you use their calculations it says good for 20 miles. NOT EVEN CLOSE, more like 40 or more. I rode out the 10 miles, turned around and went home and sill had 2 bars. I thought maybe the battery gauge may be off but wanted to check. So i rode back to the beach again fully excepting to peddle back, NOPE, made it all the way back. You get everything you need to build this bike and tune it up in the box. (150 miles in) had this bike for a bout two weeks now, I’ve been riding it to and from work every day. Rode through a few nasty rain storms, wiped everything down when I got home and still runs like a dream. This bike is weatherproof. Rain, sleet, snow. Still gets you where you need to be.     • Not Worth MONEY AND TIME

I don't usually do reviews but I rely on them when purchasing items. This bike is not worth it!!! I brought it for my son who's car broke down and this would get him back and forth to work. I had it 4 months and while trying to change the inner tub, the wire connection broke. I purchased the extended warranty, good thing I did. It took me 4 months for them to tell me that it couldn't be fixed and I will receive a refund. I'm happy to get the refund but the time it took for them to tell me that. I got Asurion insurance. For 4 months they kept telling me that they waiting on the factory to respond. With modern technology it doesn't take 4 months to look at pictures and determine if it's fixable. Going forward. I will be more careful of big ticket items I purchase. Now I'm waiting on someone to contact me about the refund. How long will that take??? ... show more

    • Different kind of riding experience
Agreed with a couple of other reviews. Fenders are pretty cheap, flimsy, rubbed up against knobby tires after assembly during ride, had to bend the front fender away from tire and readjust the back fender a few inches away from tire since it wobbles a lot when riding over any bumps. I ended up removing the front fender because it made an audible flapping noise from the plastic fender bouncing around. The directions for installing the light assembly were also a little vague, but it didn't matter because I ended up removing the front fender. This is the first time I have operated an electric assisted bike. It has taken some adjustment. It is powerful, wasn't expecting that, speeds of up to 23 mph after full charge on the 5 setting, I now have about 18 miles on first use with 2 bars left on the battery after going up some hills. It does not ride like a motorcycle or dirt bike concerning the throttle on the handle. Depending on what level it is set, (0-5), determines the speed of the bike when pedaling. The throttle on hand grip doesn't seen make any difference to both the speed or power, it is only when pedaling when the motor engages. Takes some getting used to, not sure if this is a wiring issue. 0 setting is no assist, 1 setting starts off at 50 percent power at 10 mph approx. Overall I am pretty thrilled with the bike, the knobby tires are pretty loud when on pavement, but going for a bike ride isn't a huge effort anymore knowing I have the electric assist. It has motivated me to get out more and get more exercise and enjoy the scenery. ... show more
