The open net design keeps you cool and I still prefer it but it is not as comfortable. Some of the holes have stretched a little, they aren’t a problem yet but it makes me wonder if it will last for a long time or if they will continue to grow.

This replaced my old one that lasted for yeas but finally gave out. This one is similar, comfortable, strong and well built. Swing is it as often as I can. The brown color is very environmentally healthy.

The description says the hammock is "double" and is 13 feet by 55 inches. I expected it to be the same size as the one I bought a few years ago that I thought was roughly the same size. When I got the new one, I discovered it is much smaller. The bars on my old one were 60 inches long. The bars on the new one are 55 inches long. Not a big deal, but it does make a difference of how much of my body is supported when lying across the hammock. More importantly, the woven section is shorter. The description says the hammock is 13 feet (or 156 inches) long. Both the old and new hammocks are about 148 inches from ring to ring. However, the woven part of the old hammock was a full 7 feet. The woven part of the new hammock is only 6 feet. This is not really enough since I am 6 feet three inches tall. The description says it may be 2 to 3 feet short until it has been used a few times and stretches out. Maybe it will get better, but I doubt it. What makes me particularly suspicious is that the distance from the bars to the ring on the old hammock was less than two and a half feet. The distance from the bars to rings on the new hammock is a full 3 feet. The woven section of the new hammock is a much smaller percentage of the overall length than the woven section of the old hammock I suggest that tall customers try to find a bigger hammock. BTW I gave average ratings on the comfort, sturdiness, and durability because I do not have evidence on the issues yet. ... show more

Really enjoying this hammock. The 10' was too small for my frame. Nice quality and looks great. Poly material isn't quite as soft as cotton rope but certainly comfortable. Hammock is outside all summer so hopefully poly rope will last longer.
