They’re definitely some strong magnets and will hurt your finger for sure if it got caught between two of them but I put things in a bucket until it pulled the magnets down and each one held about 10-12lbs before sliding down/falling! Which is still pretty good and for the price i can’t complain. Just don’t expect anywhere near 170 lbs, between the 4 it’s more like 40-50lbs! But each one will easily hold a power drill, a hammer, your keys, mostly empty backpack, bag of apples or whatever you need <12lbs.

They perform exactly as described and we’ve tested them with various lightweight items around the kitchen. Keep in mind the hooks are little small, so thicker items like an apron might cause you some trouble. I’d recommend spending a little extra on the large ones to give yourself some more options.

I use these magnets on the metal ceiling of my office. I hang a bar with a curtain for privacy so you can’t see clients from the windows on the door. The massage table is behind the curtain. Sometimes I use it to hang a green screen for video work. Certainly equal to the job!

Okay, I’m impressed with these hooks. We live in a multi unit building and have an outdoor patio—the deck above us has steel posts which we stuck these magnets to hang our patio lights. I was afraid the wind or rain might blow them loose—but these magnets are NEVER moving!! Make sure you have them placed where you want them because they aren’t messing around. I couldn’t even get them down for winter, they are a permanent fixture now
