I get that they have to hire new people from time to time but whomever is sanding the covers and bolsters needs to retraining. This is horrible. The bolsters are noticeably different sizes in the shape of an X, so each side one end is thick the other thin and they're opposite on the other end. I have this style in the mini trapper (pictured here) full size trapper that has the same exact problems, and a peanut that's absolutely perfect. With these getting closer and closer to $100, this kind of miserable QC will eventually take Case out and deservingly so. This has been a complaint for a few years now. Multiple people had to handle this thing and figure it was good enough to pass on to a paying customer. The thing is, I could send it in for an exchange but there's a pretty good chance, the next one would have worse problems. ... show more

    • poor quality
I bought two Case mini trappers, was pleased with the other one but this one had issues. The spey blade was so off center that it rubbed the liner and wouldn't close flush to the knife. The blade edge was rough and burred. And the color was not dark red, almost looked pink. This was the only purchase I have ever returned to Amazon. I hope Case's quality control has not dropped to this level because I really like Case knives. ... show more
