Unfortunately my last few new Case knives have had serious flaws. The shield fell off one right out of the box. This one has no snap. The main blade is weak, but the doctor's pill blade has to be manually pushed down to go back into place. Oiled both and also the springs with KPL oil, but it didn't help out. It is just a poorly made knife. My older Case knives are wonderful. Case reps gave me and three grandsons each a hat at a knife show last year so I appreciate that. Please Case improve your QC procedures. You can do much much much better. Returned this one and won't continue to buy junk. Strike two. ... show more

Very nice little knife. The workmanship was top notch, tight laminations, smooth exterior, and the cutting blade only required a couple passes on a ceramic rod for a sharp edge. Not an inexpensive tool, but clearly superior to the less expensive (offshore) items. This should outlast me given typical use, buy once, cry once. ... show more
