I’ve carried a pocketknife all of my life, even through school days, which would get you arrested these days so don’t do that. I like the Case sod Buster for its quality and price. It’s a working man’s knife, small everyday things. I use it in the garden, to cut string, rope, open letters and boxes etc. it’s small enough to be comfortable in your pocket. I give my knife away to young men from time to time because I think a guy should have his own knife. Maybe granddad’s don’t do that anymore. I took my grandson to pick out his first knife at the hardware store, it was a memory making moment. He picked a Sodbuster Jr. Just like old Pop. Little history here: the slip joint knife has been around going back to Roman soldiers. It’s sometimes called a peasants knife, a pastor’s knife, or in the last 80 years, a Sodbuster (a term for farmers).
