But unfortunately, even though this espresso machine looked the part, the espresso making process fell short. I really loved the look, the additional items that came with it, a jug for frothing the creamer, a coffee scoop, to scoop up your coffee etc... I actually got the machine turned on and waited with bated breath as I followed the instructions to the letter, but no actual espresso dropped into my cup and I could not get the creamer to froth up either. Spent my free Saturday morning being frustrated at not being able to make the espresso I was dreaming about. Will touch base with customer service to see if I can be walked through the process of getting this machine to work, hence the 3 stars! Will update if successful. 5.11.24 I wanted to update as I said that I would if I could get the CASABREWS Espresso Machine to work...and it does!! CASABREWS customer service is unlike any other that I have ever come across, they were relentless to help me to get my machine to work, sending messages of various trouble shooting methods and staying in constant contact to make sure I was happy. I would absolutely order from this company again because of them caring about their customers and customer satisfaction, 10 out 10!!! By the way, the issue (should you order this product and cannot get the machine to brew), try looking under the water container, there is a small red plug, that needs to be removed so that the water can filter through to make coffee. THANKYOU CASABREW! Starbucks will not be getting my hard earned cash now that I can make my own espresso and lattes. ... show more

Looking at the reviews I kinda feel bad now to give a one star ⭐️ and a bad review. I wanna think it just played my lucky number and I got a defective espresso machine. I bought it to take it to work together with the grinder and it would take between 8 to 10 attempts to get 1oz of coffee with no crema at all. I gotta admit I bought this espresso machine without doing any type of research or looking at the reviews prior to my purchase so I’ll take some of the blame but I’ve never been satisfied with this product since I’ve opened the package. I have a De’Longhi La Specialista at home and since day one it has been nothing but amazing. Just do your research before buying any cheaper product and hopefully this review helps someone. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I've owned quite a few espresso machines over the years so I have a bit of experience in this area. The Casabrews espresso machine is a nice looking, easy to use espresso machine that allows anyone to pull a great shot. In the box you get single and double portafilter baskets as well as another set of double walled. This will make it easier to get a shot for those that don't have a dedicated espresso grinder and are grabbing pre-ground beans. It also comes with a steam pitcher. I will mention here that if you are getting into espresso for the first time, I'd highly suggest getting a good quality grinder designed for espresso. This will really make life easier when pulling shots no matter where you get your beans from. Once the machine is powered on it only takes about 2 minutes for it to heat up. Compare this to more expensive double boiler systems that can take 30 minutes or longer. This is really a heat on demand espresso and that is a feature that shouldn't be overlooked. The espresso machine is simple to use. Once you load your basket, tamp it and place the portafilter inside the grouphead, it's just a simple press of the button and the machine goes to work and pulls your shot. It's timed and automatic in that sense so you don't have to do anything else. If your shot doesn't come out, you ground your beans too fine. If it comes out too fast ( say 20 seconds or less ) you might want to grind a little finer. The water reservoir holds plenty of water for multiple days of shots and is easy to clean. The machine has a drip tray with an alert mechanism that essentially rises above the drip tray when it's full of water notifying you it's time to empty. Much more expensive machines don't have this and it really keeps you from having a mess of leaks from too much water overflowing in the drip tray. If you are looking at this machine you're probably new to espresso or want to upgrade from a less expensive model and this machine is a good machine. I can't comment on overall durability but it does come with a warrant and 6 months extended if you register upon receiving your machine with the included WARRANTY card in the box. This machine is very similar to my previously owned Breville unit for half the cost. It functions similarly and looks just as nice. I've been lurking on the espresso subreddit for a long time now, and finally decided to get ot an espresso machine. I don't feel ready to take the plunge with a thousands of dollars machine...yet...so this felt like a great happy medium. So far, the price feels very fair! I make a French press cup every day, grind my beans, and appreciate a good roast, so I wasn't as interested in something with pods and a button like a nespresso. So far, I'm loving this machine. It fits nicely on my counter and looks sleek. The display is simple, and it's not complicated to operate. The instructions are also clear. I use a different scoop than what this came with because.its just a cheap plast spoon, and I plan to purchase a nicer tamp because the one it came with feels a little like a large chess piece. I made a lavender simple syrup the other day and made a lavender latte this morning. So far, I've done americanos, espresso shots, and lattes. I'm looking forward to an espresso martini becoming part of the cocktail lineup, too. I definitely need to keep experimenting with the size of my coffee grinds (haven't been able to get that crema on my espresso yet) and timing when steaming milk, but this has opened up a whole new appreciation for the art of coffee! ... show more
