The CASABREWS CM5700 Espresso Machine with grinder is big with a coffee bean hopper and grinder combined into 1 unit versus using 2 separate devices. It came triple boxed for protection. There is a programable option to increase decrease water output for single or double shot output. The grinder works as soon as the machine starts up and heating water. No need to wait. Brew temperature is 140F or 60C temperature, not hotter. There's not as much crema as I would expect as I continue dial in the right combination. There are red warning light when I'm out of water. I've initially had issues trying to get pressure on the machine. This unit is very finicky as it needs the right size grinds, amount of grinds and tamper pressure in order to generate pressure to extract espresso. Finally after 3 days of adjustments and drinking all the test shots and over caffinated, I emailed CasaBrews offshore support over a weekend for help. Their customer service and engineers promptly responded and was very helpful. I switched to a medium #8 grind with 18gr coffee to Max level for double shot (or 11gr coffee for single shot) and much harder tamper in the portafilter which finally produced a double shot espresso with over ~10 bars pressure on the machine. The good thing about this model is the grinder is simple adjust grind size with a complete turn in one direction or the other. Far easier than a Breville where I have to remove the inner grinder and pull a metal hook out to rotate the grind distance. The CasaBrew is a dream for adjustments and cleaning once I figured it out. My constant ongoing issue is the coffee grounds come out on the outer left edge of the grinder and not smack in the center of the portafilter. I can't rotate the portafilter as it must be centered to activate the switch to start the grinder. Often that causes some grinds to mound up and fall over the left side. I confirmed no beans are stuck in the grinder. Coffee grounds falling into the wet drip tray leads to a mess to clean up. So I have stop to stick a spoon to distribute the grounds to avoid a pile up and spill over from the left of the portafilter. I've gotten a magnetic portafilter funnel and that helps remendously. The grinder does not have a press and start and auto stop feature. I have to keep pushing on the portafilter and release the portafilter to stop. After all the grind size, grind volume, tamper pressure and extraction pressure are ideally set, the best results are with verified fresh roasted beans. The last problem is the temperature is very low measuring only 140F or 60C temperature, which is quite low and I have to sip fast before it gets cold. ... show more

This machine takes up a lot of real estate, so make sure you have the space for it. This is really a beautiful piece of machinery, it is not a little home looking espresso machine, it's the real deal. I couldn't tell you how it works. Luckily for me my daughter's fiancée is a former employee of a major coffee chain. He operates it. All I can say is that it works and my daughter has laid claim to the machine for when she moves out.     • It works after a bit of a learning curve
I am a lover of espresso and wanted to give this machine a try. It was a great upgrade for me with the built in grinder. I will state that this machine took me some adjusting to get used to. It was finickey at first, and really takes some patience to get used to since it's a real espresso machine. I have to say that the quality of the machine is very high. Upon initial usage I struggled to extract a shot, a bit too much force on the grounds and they were too fine. So you really have to break it in and settle on a sweet spot in terms of your grind number and your force with the portafilter and tamper. So after many attempts I'm now able to extract shots... but my setting has to be at 9 to begin. I contacted their support and they have been very responsive and super helpful. So please if you are not experienced and need to learn just give yourself some patience and you will be making your own shots at home the barista way. ... show more

This is a large coffee machine. Make sure you have plenty of room for it. It comes with cleaning instructions that you will have to preform weekly to make sure it stays running correctly. Great for hot coffee and you can also brew the expresso you want to make cold coffees. Great to pair with our milk frother we got a couple of weeks ago. Saves on money and time. Works just like the ones at retailer's. There is a large coffee bean holder that is attached on top so you can have fresh crushed beans. Along with different settings on how strong or week you like it. With in seconds you will have a cup of expresso ready to drink. ... show more

For the price of this machine it's starting to get close to the cost of the other big names like breville. This machine comes with everything needed to start your espresso journey. The grinder has many step settings and the materials feel solid. It heats up very quickly and performs well. The only thing I'm looking to find out is if the durability is good enough for the price. ... show more
