We have had it for a couple of months now, and have been using it daily for multiple cupe. So far, it works great. We had a cheap Sowtech espresso maker before that didn't really develop enough pressure to make a true espresso, had a weak steamer, and had a very small water reservoir. This is a quantum improvement. Great "crema", piping hot tasty coffee, plenty of water for multiple cups, and a steamer that can froth any kind of milk. Controls are easy, warms up quickly, and takes up less counter space than most drip machines. I've used Breville and DeLonghi machines, and I don't see any difference in functionality or coffee quality between this and the more expensive machines. Maybe there's difference in durability, but the Casabrews seems pretty robust. There are a couple of others on Amazon that look the same but cost less than the Casabrews. If they really are the same, then go for the cheaper one, but I have no regrets about paying $10 more.

I am not one to write reviews very often, and I am not a coffee snob obsessing over everything to do with the perfect espresso shot. I do have lots to say about this machine though. My previous Mr Coffee Cafe Barista machine died after many years and I wanted something that would allow me to steam my own milk instead of it being done for me. I also didn’t want to spend more than $150 either as my circumstances are not great right now… Anyway, after reading many reviews on similar machines, I settled on this beaut. I am more than happy with my purchase! The machine is small and takes up half the space my old machine did, which earns high spousal approval. The all stainless steel body looks good and durable and wipes down easily. It looks good on the countertop. It heats up fast for a thermoblock design, and while the water capacity in the tank isn’t the greatest, a full tank is enough to pull two espresso shots, steam two jugs of milk, plus allows for preheating the group head and portafilter and flushing everything afterwards. The machine pulls a pretty decent shot with pre-ground espresso and leaves a hard puck after extraction, something I always had issues with on my old machine which would always leave a soupy mess. I do weigh my dose (13 grams), use a WDT needle tool, distributor, tamper and puck screen. While I do not have control over everything, you can set the volume of water dispensed for each of the buttons on the panel. The single shot button is set at 30 milliliters. I can’t get a full 15 grams into the portafilter for a true 1:2 ratio but it’s close enough. The milk frother is fast and steams the milk in about a minute and actually produces some good results. The wand seems durable and the rubber grip is well placed so you don’t scald your fingers. This does a great job for frothy cappuccinos or silky lattes. The pump is not loud either which is good for a machine at this price point. Please follow the instructions to prep the machine when you first set it up. Run a few shots through the machine before you start using it to remove any trace particles in the water lines and pump. And plastic smell from the water tank will be removed by doing this. For a basic espresso machine, this is a good buy. It seems to be well made, and it suits my present financial circumstances. Sure, I wouldn’t mind a more mainstream brand and probably a better quality machine, but for the money, don’t hesitate in buying this machine. I got mine for $129 in early 2025 and I’ve seen this at $99 before over the holidays. It’s a simply delightful espresso machine that I’m glad to have.

Used this machine every day for almost a year. Purchased in November 2024, it is now October 2025. Bought it as I was just getting into the espresso world and didn’t really want to start off with something expensive. This is a great machine to begin learning the art of espresso and latte art, it was good enough to help me get the hang of pulling a good shot - playing around with grind size and extraction time - and steaming milk to get that “paint” like consistency for latte art. The stock pressurized portafilter is OK, especially if you will be adding milk to your drink which kind of conceals the actual taste of the espresso. However if you want to level up your espresso game and enjoy the actual taste of the coffee, I’d suggest getting a bottomless portafilter, an inexpensive but solid/sturdy tamper, and most importantly a decent espresso grinder. Pros - inexpensive!! - Easy to use - nicely built, pretty sturdy - pump is pretty strong and steady - temperature is decent - the milk steamer’s capable. Note: steaming milk is not easy, but once you get the hang of it the steamer is capable. It took me months to get the hang of it. Cons - steam lever does not align to the “off” position. It’s more cosmetic than anything - Stock portafilter and tamper is OK, but worth changing - Can’t really think of anything else for this price point Overall happy with this Casabrew and I do recommend getting this if you’re like me and just starting out

Just replaced an 18 year old breville with this. I will admit it seems to make better espresso. Foam on top. Never happened with the other. For the price, Wow! It's ready in seconds! Top plate doesn't heat up, which is probably good since it isn't removable to clean. My only complaint is it's lightweight-ish so when I'm setting the coffee holding thingy it moves the whole machine. I hope it is a long lasting machine. It's also very nice looking

Amazing coffee machine. It comes with very helpful printed instructions, super straightforward to follow. It makes a scary noise the first time you use it but the noise does lower with the uses and it is important to do the prewarm step before doing your actual coffee to be nice and warm. The 1/2 expresso shots metal thingy seem hard t get out, you just have to rotate them until a little gap coincides( see pic below). I really love it and save so much money with at home coffee.
