First off, I plan on updating this review IF I have issues with this chair. If I stay happy with it, I'll leave this as it is! I've only had it one day, and know longevity is a big concern with large purchases. My goal is to have this chair last at least 5 years, more would be a bonus. I researched and researched for about a month before buying this chair. I had heard from many moms (and what seemed like the entire reddit community) that nursery specific chairs were gimmicks and usually less comfort and quality than a less-stylish recliner from a furniture store. So originally we went that route, and spent 900 on a recliner locally. It was certainly not as aesthetically pleasing, and also was pretty plush feeling. The first recline setting was too reclined for me to nurse in as well, so we returned it. I knew 900 was out of our budget, so I was almost glad to return it! Eventually I just decided to go the nursery chair route. I really wanted this chair in our living room since I have a toddler and want to nurse near him while he plays, so it needed to be nice enough looking. I also read that this chair was firmer, and softness was an issue with the store recliner. Ultimately I'm happy I went with the mid-upper price range of nursing chairs. I knew I didn't want or need power recline, but I also didn't want a cheap frame or bad upholstery. This put me in the 500-800 dollar range. This chair has a steel frame, which could be prone to squeaking but feels very sturdy. It's lighter than I thought, so I'm curious about tipping. The fabric is softer than it looks in photos, but I poured water on it and it did bead right up and roll off! I'm hoping stains and milk will clean up easy if acted upon quickly. The fit and size of this chair feels great for my 5' 9" frame. The foot rest when reclined ends at my ankles, which doesn't bother me. The back is very straight and supportive, and I always like more lumbar support so I'll likely use the bolster it came with. The arms are comfier than I thought, and there is about three inches gap on either side of my thighs to each chair arm. The last thing I noticed that I was nervous about is that it is really NOT as hard to get out of the recline than many reviews said. For me it takes gentle pressure from my calves, and then a swift kick of the heels at the end to get it to stay down. It may wake a baby up, but i don't plan on being reclined with baby sleeping just to get up quickly after. I'd likely just rock baby to sleep and then get up. For me the recline is more for breastfeeding (not all the way reclined, but on the first setting). Over all I'm very happy with this purchase. The box came slightly banged up but the main parts of the chair are positioned so that the vulnerable parts face inward. There is a slight chemical odor but I expect it will be gone in a few days. This glider is amazing!! It was delivered quickly and was super fast to assemble. I was going to assemble it myself, but I went to the bathroom and by the time I came back, my husband had already assembled it himself. So it probably took him like 5 minutes to do. (It is pretty heavy, so you might need help assembling/moving it if you’re pregnant, which I was at the time.) My son is 2 months old now, and I’ve probably spent the majority of his life sitting on this glider nursing lol. It is SUPER comfortable and I love the reclining and gliding features. (I’m 5’2” and it works great for me!) My husband likes sitting in it, too, and he’s 5’9” (Before our son was born and I was working from home and I would sit in it just because it was so comfortable for my preggo self.) It’s stylish and matches beautifully with our other nursery furniture. The fabric is soft and resilient. We’ve had a few spills and it’s easy to clean and doesn’t stain, in our experience. Was skepitcal about buying a chair online. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: Arrived as promised, on time and only took a week to set up delivery date. I opted for the extra $10 delivery so they would drag it into the house as it was heavy. Nice color ( grey ) Fabric is good quality and soft Swivel is smooth Will reline and swivel while reclined Easy to put together ( took all of 7 mins. ) Came packaged well Reclines pretty far, cushion is firm but comfortable Cons: A little short. I'm 5'4" and the foot rest is just below my calve. Could use another extender on the foot rest. Need to use additional pillow behind head Switch to flip foot rest is just stupid. That part of the chair is going to get filthy. And though the company touts how eco friendly they are, any fabric coated in whatever to resist water is just teflon in disguise. The world is covered in plastic! The foot rest is a little stiff to close but I don't have any sleeping babies to worry about. Swivel ring is large and the chair is heavy to move easily Over all I would recommend this chair. It's price is comparable to the quality. It is comfy but if you're tall it may be too short for you. We’ve only had it for about 2 weeks! But my husband said it was easy to put together give or take a few parts. But way easier than the baby crib and bassinet hahaha I love it so far!!! It has made bed time rocking and cuddling super comfy and easy. Baby boy loves sitting and laying on it. Quality seems good so far. Material is nice, soft, and comfy! I’ve only used this chair for a month or so but I love it and can’t imagine not having one in my baby’s nursery. I didn’t pay the full $600 regular price though, it was marked down to $460ish when I got it. Not sure I’d go with this chair for $600. Absolutely perfect and just what my Son and wife wanted! My son is 6”4 and 230 and he thinks it’s extremely comfortable and spacious! His wife loves it as well and said it glides really nice! The recliner reclines basically flat as a bed , he also loved that! It was a gift so I gathered all this information over FaceTime. Also would like to add my Son is picky and would have told me he wanted another glider if he didn’t like this one ….so a huge thumbs up!!! Works. Wife uses daily. Comfy for reading stories to the toddler and putting her down at night while pregnant. Could probably nap just fine in it but wouldn’t want to sleep in regularly while pregnant/postpartum. Doesn’t feel sturdy enough to last for years, arms are thinner and I presume will take a beating the little kids. Can fit one child on it, not sure about a newborn and a toddler fitting comfortably. Have to position back far enough to have your feet stay up but not difficult to do, just took a bit of getting used to. Can lay back and recline well and rest head comfortably on the side. Good rocker/glider, does make squeaky noise at times despite being new, have only used a month or so. Curious to see how it holds up long term. Would still probably buy again as it functions for what we need right now for the price we wanted to pay. ... show more
