I purchased this to bring my cat to the vet. He hadn't been in a carrier since we first adopted him 4 years ago so I didn't know how he'd react to being put in one. But this carrier made a potentially stressful situation really easy. The flap on top opens up so that it's really easy to just put your cat inside and then zipper the lid closed. I like that there's a ventilation window on one end of the carrier but not the other (this came in handy at the waiting room at the vet where I could turn the carrier around so my cat didn't have to see the very curious dogs.) The interior of the carrier is padded and soft, but it's supported by a firmer material underneath. I found this worked well for carrying my ~12 lb cat to/from the vet, but I'm not sure I'd trust it enough for longer trips, like traveling on a plane, because it doesn't feel THAT sturdy. At home, if I leave the side flap open, my cat enjoys sleeping in this sometimes, too, so it could double as a cat bed. Overall, a pretty decent quality for the price. ... show more
