I recently tried out the CAROTE 17-piece “Titanium” Cookware Set, and I’d like to clarify an important point from the start. While the product is marketed with the word “Titanium” in its name, it’s crucial to note that this may not be a full titanium cookware set. Unlike truly patented titanium-surfaced pans that use a specialized technique to create a nonstick layer from titanium itself, this set seems to use a coating that includes titanium particles as a reinforcing agent within a ceramic or granite-like nonstick layer. I emphasize this because some buyers might assume they are getting a genuine titanium cookware piece at a fraction of the price. In reality, true patented titanium cookware is often more than double (or triple) the cost, and this CAROTE set should be understood as a well-made, non-Teflon ceramic (or granite, or similar) coated cookware. This is only my inference based on the set’s construction, product descriptions, and how it performed in my cooking tests. It’s certainly a healthier option compared to traditional Teflon coatings, but it is not a solid titanium pan. In terms of performance, the cookware’s nonstick properties are outstanding. It’s impressively smooth, and food just doesn’t stick at all, which is a pleasant surprise. Cleaning is also quick and easy. The design is vibrant with its red, white, and blue colorway accented by gold. Although the gold accents might not be everyone’s cup of tea, the overall look is quite cheerful. The detachable handle is easy to attach and remove, and it grips well. Do note that older metal-based detachable handles from other brands may not be compatible due to the thickness of these pots. The two included cooking lids are sized for the larger pot and the larger frying pan; they do not fit the smaller pot or the smaller pan. The silicone rim on the lids prevents scratching and is a thoughtful detail. Storage-wise, the pots stack nicely using pot separators, but the domed lids and their taller knobs do take up a bit more space if you try to stack them on top. For those who store lids upright, this won’t be an issue. The included storage lids are a fantastic addition, allowing you to store leftovers directly in the pot and refrigerate them without using another container. These storage lids have a built-in air vent that opens and closes, and they don’t leak once properly closed. In summary, this set offers excellent nonstick performance, vibrant design, and convenient and thoughtful features. It’s a great addition to the kitchen if you’re looking for a durable and non-Teflon alternative. I think the price is fair for its quality, but if it were a bit cheaper, it would be even more compelling. Just be aware that these are not fully titanium pans, despite the name. ***** Note: I tried to find more detailed information on the manufacturer’s website, but unfortunately, the site didn’t offer any clarity on exactly how the titanium is used. (Most pages on the site are still under construction.) This lack of transparency is something to be aware of, though it doesn’t detract from the overall performance of the set.

I like this set of pots and pans. They are very lightweight, which makes them easy to handle, but means they don't retain heat once they are on the table, so food cools a bit more quickly than heavier pans. The non-stick surface is fantastic. I was a little concerned it might stain with spaghetti sauce but it hasn't yet. I love the stackable design, removable handles. Makes storage and cleaning so much easier! They are holding up well so far, but it does say they aren't designed for high heat - which I have followed. Also, no metal utensils. Good value and a good product.

The CAROTE Store's "17-Piece Titanium Cookware Set, Pots and Pans Set, Non-Stick" is one of the more innovative products I've seen for sale on Amazon. Most modern cookware these days is either black or gray, lacking pizazz, and failing to stretch the boundaries of creative or functional design. The CAROTE cookware set is an exception to the current trend toward bland minimalism. My 17-piece set arrived in an unexpectedly small box. (See my photo of the box along with two soda cans for perspective.) I was also impressed by the relatively light weight of the cookware, as well as the red material on the sides and bottoms of the 5 pans. At the same time, based on the weight and unusual design, I thought the cookware must have been designed primarily for cooking on an induction cooktop. I re-read the product page to confirm that the cookware set can be used on gas, electric, or an induction stove. Thus far, we haven't used the set very much on our gas and (portable) induction cooktops -- but I can confirm that the pans are easy to clean, they are safe in our dishwasher and oven, and they have a nonstick coating that works. I cannot attest to its durability, based on the brief time we've owned and used these pots and pans. The most innovative feature of the cookware set is the detachable handle, which makes it easy to store, bring on a vacation, or use when camping. Aside from these great features, I must honestly admit that my wife and I probably won't use the CAROTE cookware set very often at home. We are somewhat serious home chefs, who often experiment with new recipes and do a lot of cooking. Our kitchen cookware is fairly heavy-duty, carefully chosen, and used frequently. I think the CAROTE set would an especially good choice for younger home cooks -- particularly college students who have smaller kitchens or living space -- or many others who have limited storage space for cookware. It would also be a good choice for those who prefer cookware that's both easy to use and weighs significantly less than many other sets in today's market.
