I waited 5 months to write a review, so I can give a correct review. I bought this for my 9 year old daughter for Christmas. She has rode this almost everyday. This scooter is perfect for riding in a neighborhood, or sidewalk. Not so much, in grass or a yard, unless it’s a child riding. The seat is very comfortable. The battery last for awhile. My only issue has been, keeping my daughter from laying it down on the ground. Both of the keys has bent because of it, and I can’t it to start. So if you’re buying for a child, get some extra keys made. Other than that, this scooter has been great!! ... show more

    • Not good for a beginner rider. But fun for Mom!
Lots of pep, no speed settings. This was decently easy to assemble. It really takes off! But this is for my young teen, and that much power would be too much for her to learn right away. The handlebar accelerator requires a very gentle touch, and is not at all intuitive for a beginner. And no speedometer. Through a challenge of shipping delays, I also ended up with a HiBoy U3 model. That was an absolute beast to assemble. Never again. But the thumb acceleration and 3 speed modes make the HiBoy much easier to learn for a beginner. Guess I’ll keep this Caroma for myself, because I’m sure not going to disassemble and rebox it for a return! ... show more

    • Worst purchasing decision I've ever made
Shock absorption of the tires are literally the only thing great about this bike/scooter. Don't break too hard or the quick release on the handle bar releases and you'll fly over the handle bars and split your face open too. Yes I tightened everything before riding. This occurred 2 weeks after purchasing. 2 months in and the tunes burst in both wheels. Tried to contact the manufacturer and zero help or ability to get through in order to order new and correct parts. Found the parts through a different company, installed myself, no problem. Less than a month later, the motor stopped working. Save your time and money and get a nicer ebike or escooter from a company that will at least return your calls or emails. ... show more

The key and battery are on the bottom of the scooter and key bends easily and you can’t get copies made. The scooter is nice I ordered 2. Not sure if I’m keeping them I’m still trying to figure out how to get extra keys. Their website is unsafe so my phone won’t let me go to it to ask

This is the 2nd seated scooter we have purchased. The first one came from a big box store and it wasn’t long before we realized we needed another. We decided to give this one a try and it out performs our first one in every way! We love how fast this scooter is! It truly does reach 20mph, even when carrying the max weight load. The battery lasts a really long time and has gotten me to/from many little errands on a single charge. One of the features we really love is the different modes you can choose that limit your speed to 10, 15, or 20 mph. I usually keep it in sport mode because I like going as fast as possible but now I’m starting to teach my oldest son how to use it and like to keep him on eco mode so he doesn’t go above 10mph. This thing has major gusto so I like that we can keep it capped to a lower speed. We are very happy with this scooter and are really happy we made the decision to purchase!! ... show more

Great idea and concept, delivery and set up was actually a breeze now idk if I just have bad luck but my first ride the excelleraton disconnected from the handle causing major safety issues like blocking the breaks. And I thought the description said 4 hours of ride time and up to 30 miles worth of travel time but I only got up to an hour before it slowed down to 3mph and then died. I reached out to the vendor to get more clarification on how the model I purchased really works. Will update soon **Update** I reached out to customer service and they were awesome with assistants! I was able to fix the accelerator issue and keeping the battery going longer! There was some delay in response on my end but they kept up with me and made sure it was working correctly! And yes when functioning correctly this scooter is all that and more!! Definitely worth the purchase. ... show more
