There are 5- to 8-year-old kids riding around at 25 to 30 mph. This is far too fast for me. I found this little one that has a slower speed and i jumped on it. It has been perfect!!! He is not missing out on anything now and the speed is reduced from those others, but it certainly isn't slow. I feel safer and he is loving it. The media could not be loaded. This product is awesome! I love how you can set the maximum speed from 5pmh, 8 mph, and 10mph. Love that feature because all of my kids can enjoy it safely. The deck plate has a nice grip so no sliding around. The manual says to use it only on a flat terrain, which is absolutely means it. The slightest bit of incline and it shuts off. My daughter is 26 months old. Her friends have scooters with two wheels and my daughter was not comfortable riding them. Thus, I got the three wheeled one for its added stability. Even though this toy says it is good for age 3+, my daughter's height is 90% percentile for her age. The assembly did not take too long since it only has few parts. They all seem unused and screwed parts were pretty tight so I felt it would be durable for a long time. So far, she is only riding on the carpet floor and indoor of our apartment community area. It moves smoothly. The deck plate has enough friction; therefore, her foot does not come off by accident. Foot brake works as well. Design-wise, we chose strawberry and the pattern is very cute with pastel-tone pink color. When not being used, I always fold it so that my daughter doesn't ride it by herself.
