I have to say I was super skeptical about this thing working. I downloaded the app to my iPhone 14 Pro Max and this thing actually worked! I was able to disable all of the seat belt chimes. Driver's, passenger's, and all three for the backseat. I'm not one that doesn't wear my seatbelt, or discourage it in my truck. However, there are times I'm NOT putting it on. (Taking my trash to the road down my 300' driveway on my way out to work.) The long press on unlock rolls down all 4 windows, and opens my sunroof. It doesn't lower the back glass. I can deal with that. I haven't tried the other features and/or modifications yet. That annoying seatbelt chime was the primary reason for me purchasing this thing. I do believe with time, I will utilize a few more features. But with a truck that's next year's model... I'm going to be a little slow to try some stuff out. $67,000 is a little much to be experimenting with right now. Seat Belt Chime GOODBYE!!! ... show more

I have a 2020 Lexus RX and the seatbelt chime is crazy annoying. I make a few short trips within a half mile every day and I am in the habit of not buckling up for these short 20 mph trips, so when I got in my recently purchased, updated Lexus RX and drove maybe 10 feet, I was immediately reminded to fasten my seatbelt. I ignored it, thinking that I would just deal with the soft chime for the next 2 min, but the chime frequency increased along with the volume to a very irritating level. I searched the manual and the internet but could find no way to disable this chime through the vehicle. Then I ran across this Carista app and it's OBD2 module and ordered it. It was at my door before I awoke the next morning and before 9 am I had the chime disabled and a few other helpful adjustments. When you purchase the Carista OBD2 module you get the option for 1 month free. (iPhone App) Great inexpensive solution. Very happy with this item and the speed of delivery. Overall positive experience. I had issues when attempting to setup my account; there were errors in how my subscription was processed. HOWEVER, my request for technical support was promptly answered. Carista "owned" the problem and didn't try evade it. They worked with me to resolve it and go out of their way to help me have a positive second run at using their product. The product works well once setup. I was very encouraged by their owning the issues and being quite frank about it in conversation with me. I've been a developer and greatly appreciated their doing the right thing. So, in addition to a solid product, I have to give customer support high marks. The only detraction from a full 5 star is that my initial attempts to subscribe were met with mixed results. Their subsequent support to resolving the issue was really good. ... show more

Needed to edit the TPMS IDs into a Lexus ES350 2013 and alternatives wouldve been over 200 dollars either for other tools or to have it done in the shop. Plugged it in and I was finished in 5 minutes.

    • Software does not work on Apple iPhone SE (2020) with iOS version 17.0.3
The Carista software for the iPhone at this moment is 100% useless. It will not work on the Apple iPhone SE (2020) and many other models of iPhones running the latest iOS. I contacted tech support for Carista and they acknowledged that they have a know issue. They directed me to use the BETA version of the software but left me zero way to use it without an invite from their developer and a code. They won't send me one. I bought the Carista unit specifically to adjust some items on my Prius that no other software can do (in this price range). The Carista adapter will work with some other OBD2 software apps, HOWEVER those apps (Car Scanner and Dr. Prius) do not offer the features I need. In conclusion, I am giving Carista the lowest possible score UNTIL they fix the software issue. IF the software gets fixed I might upgrade my rating. This works great . For the people that bought it for the wrong car and paying for a subscription, it says right in the ad 49.99 for the year and a month free also . It would have cost me a 150 dollars to take my 2022 tundra to the dealer to shut my exhaust sound and I did it in 10 minutes and paid the 49.99 and 39 for device . I run a auto repair shop so I will use this for other vehicles . You people need to read before writing a review about something you know nothing about . ... show more

2022 4runner, wasn't sure exactly what additional options would be available, turns out it's mostly a bunch of stuff most people would keep as stock. I did change my rear windows to not auto down with a single press. My dog rides in the backseat and I don't roll the windows all the way down for safety. The subscription cost is ridiculous, to get the free trial you have to sign up for a year at $150 or so & cancel before the first month is over. Pretty predatory for a "free" offer. I'd suggest looking up YT videos about your exact vehicle to see what options are available before purchasing. ... show more
