This is the best shoe that I have ever run in. I have neutral pronation. I am over 50. I run around 900 miles a year. Well cushioned shoes generally feel squishy to me and I feel that I have to work harder to push forward. That is not the issue with these. I run my fastest runs in these. I also like the nylon plate. I feel that it adds some stability, especially upon landing each step. I have been concerned when other reviews show pictures of problems with the sole, but as I add more and more miles to the shoes and see no causes for concern in the sole, I wonder if those who blow out the sole are pronators, or under-pronators. Maybe this was not the right shoe for them. They are the right shoe for me. I like them so much, I already bought a second pair for the future. ... show more

Awesome running sneaker, only problem is sudden or abrupt turns can or may roll your ankle. OC makes a sneaker with less height and may be my next endeavor, but these sneakers are great minus that one serious flaw.

These shoes fit perfect and are true to size. It feels like I’m walking, running and jogging on a cloud. I’m very glad I got these shoes for running. I will buy another pair soon, well worth every penny.

    • Lives up to the hype
I had read very many good things about the speed2 and took an immediate liking to them when they arrived. I think Saucony provides a variety of colours for those who want something different from the usual shades of black and blue for mens shoes. The shoes are awkward to walk in since they given you the sensation you are walking on balloons. However, when I took them for a run, they were an absolute joy to run in. I have done three runs - two 5Ks and one 8K so far. The shoes provide that peppy, responsive feeling underfoot that you get from the Endorphin Pro but without the ankle strain of a carbon-plated shoe. I know these shoes are designed more for faster runs and not as a daily trainer but so far they are my favourite running shoes. ... show more

I've been using brooks for a while now and I have to say that these shoes are excellent if you are returning from any kind of injury. My knees and ankles are happier than ever. I ordered these and the Endorphin Pro with the carbon fiber insert. Both are great and these are my everyday trainers. I have no residual after effects on long runs like I used to with other shoe brands. I run 15-20 miles a week and love these shoes.

    • Fast and lightweight shoe

These are some of the most comfortable running shoes I own. They are super lightweight and allow for me to do my speed runs effectively and efficiently. I don’t use them as a daily wear but could if I wanted to with how comfortable they are!

I’ve put about 30 miles on these so far. The cushion is incredible. The best my joints have felt in years. And they’re a light, fast shoe. My only gripe is the sizing. I’m usually kind of between a mens 10.5 and 11, depending on the brand. I went with 11 on these and the toe box is tight. Wondering if I should have gone 11.5.
