So I was never big on getting a dock as a cable just works fine for me most of the time, but after a recent chat with PrismXR they offered to send this dock for me to try out. And you know what I like it! Before I had my quest wall mounted, but now it's nice to have it almost on display on my desk. It charges the controllers and quest itself pretty damn quick and that's nice. The build quality is fantastic. You can tell they put a lot of thought and care into this design. Unfortunately there isn't a way to use controller grips on them so I just storer them on the back under the strap rest. Maybe down the road they will release covers that have grips built in. The other small issue is face cover compatibility will be random. I have 3. The stock, a no name brand one, and one from AMVR. The stock and AMVR ones work fine but the no name brand one doesn't so keep that in mind before purchase. Last thing I would like to see at some point is an extra usb port so I can charge my external battery while the quest itself charges. Overall though if you're looking for a dock and don't like the official one from Meta I can 100% recommend this as a great option.

I've tried several charging docks for my quest 3 and they all have the same issue... they are designed with the original headstrap in mind and therefore don't line up correctly with the charging pins. This dock solves that issue with two clever additions: - an adjustable rest for the back of the headstrap to allow it to sit the correct distance from the base and keep the headset level when charging - an adhesive charging adapter which extends the height and area of the quest's charging port. They even give you a little plastic guide to make sure it goes exactly in the right place! These 2 elements allow the quest to hit it's mark every time, with no shifting, sliding or guesswork of any kind. Connects perfectly every time it's set down. What a joy. The only downside to this dock (for me) is the storage area for the controllers. I use the active straps and as a result, they don't fit cleanly into the intended space. No stars off because I'm not using it for the intended purpose, and otherwise extremely happy with the look and functionality of this dock. Extremely thoughtfully designed.

Finally, a Quest 3 charging base/stand that is attractive and practical! I love how everything fits securely to the base and charges without having to fiddle with positioning. The utilization of the magnetic charging on the bottom of the goggles is ingenious. I use a battery pack headset for extra battery life, and the constant unplugging of the little magnetic piece that goes in the usb-c port was annoying. This set up is so much better and makes so much sense. The inclusion of rechargeable batteries for the controllers is great too. It even came with a plug and usb-c cable. With this charging base, my Quest 3 will always be ready to go when I want to play.
