Each piece was heavier than expected---seemed like more than twenty pounds in total. I had to play around with orientation of the arches. Most did not sit flat with arch at highest point. However, I found that positioning them on the side (U-shaped when viewed from above) allowed them to sit flat while still presenting a pleasing texture with parts of the arch jutting toward you or off to one side. Because of various rock "knobs" covering the sides, it was easy to stack them in this sideways manner to build up height and at the same time adding depth and negative space for the fish to swim through and for good water flow through the rockwork. Caribsea packaging was great; however, Amazon wrapped this box in another oversized box with no additional padding (shame on Amazon!). Caribsea box was allowed to slide around inside the Amazon box, causing breakage of one arch. On the good side, I was easily able to fix the broken arch with superglue gel.     • Only 1 piece broke of two boxes. Looks great.
I tried to make my own. It was a fun project with my wife but I would have rather of bought more of this rock after all the work we put into it. This rock looks great and there was a nice variety. I would definitely recommend it.

This is basically for structure or landscape making mateial to give your saltwater tank that saltwater aquarium look. LOOK IT UP. But it does look nice like it fits in

Paid extra for Carib sea arches did not receive one arch. Every single piece of rock that was rolled up packaging together in four individual packages was broken and not one single piece arrived without damage. Very disappointed thought I was ordering from local manufacturer in fort pierce Florida apparently not. I would not recommend due to the fact of every piece being damaged. ... show more
