I just received my Carhartt jacket today and it is all that I hoped it would be. I took a lot of time researching reviews but even in doing so I wasn’t 100% positive what to expect regarding fit and color. True to other reviews, the jacket seems to fit true to size. My concern was that I fall in between the sizes as listed on the chart. I am in between a 37 and 38 bust, and depending on manufacturer can wear a medium or a large in tops. Didn’t want the fit to be too loose nor too tight. I decided on the medium jacket and the fit is perfect. After receiving it I tried it on over a light fleece top and a fleece jacket to test how much I would be able to layer beneath it if I ever needed to, and I could still zip the jacket without it being too tight. A versatile color was also important in my decision so though it wasn’t my initial choice, I decided on the taupe. My concern was that the jacket appeared more gray in the image. The jacket’s color is a true taupe - a little more brownish than gray - which works very well for me, but still has enough of a gray tint to give it the versatility of taupe. Jacket is warm. Love the convenience of the interior pockets, and that the exterior hand pockets do not sit too high up on the jacket. Top rate construction. Extremely happy with this purchase!

I had attempted to purchase a womens wool lined Carhartt coat last winter on Amazon. It was a slightly different style with the rubbed waist band. It was out of stock. I kept it in my cart hoping it would come back in stock and when it did, I purchased. The item ended up getting canceled and I was back on the hunt. Locally it has been tough to find womens styles that are available in size small as well. Nothing in our area it seems, at any of the farm retail stores. I went back on the hunt again this year and found this here on Amazon and available. I am 5’7 and 125lbs. I chose the size small and it fits perfectly, with the ability to layer, but also fine with a teeshirt underneath. This style does not have the ribbed knit cuff at the waist like the sleeves have. The previous style I liked had that so I wasn’t sure if I’d like the way it fits and looks at the waist but I don’t mind it at all. It fits great over my carhartt coveralls. I’ve worn it with jeans and leggings as well and also fits and looks fine with those too. I have a little longer arms and the fit is perfect in arm length too. I have layered carhartt hooded sweatshirts underneath and the all over fit is still great. It’s the wool lining for me! I love love love the soft wool lining. It’s cozy and just a lot warmer feeling that the nylon fabric lining some of the womens styles have. There are a lot of pockets, along with those that zip closed, inside and out. We have a poultry farm and so far I’ve found the pockets to be helpful for my supplies, cell phone and keys while working. My cell phone doesn’t fall out when I’m bending and working like it often did with my old barn coat. Plenty of room in the pockets for my (larger) iPhone as well. The hood fits nicely and has drawstrings that can be tied but I haven’t even had to tie them. Just pull them a bit and the hood has stayed on even in the strong country wind. I’m super happy with this purchase. I’ve stayed warm in our recent negative temps, working outside for a long period of time. I’ve also worn this casually out running errands, to dinner and even to church. I would definitely recommend this carhartt coat. I’m glad the search is over!

I liked everything about carhartt. I like the available colors, the size was perfect, wasn’t too heavy but incredibly warm at the same time. I love the inner sherpa lining. My first Carhartt jacket in spruced green love the color. Jacket fits loose enough for a very thick sweater. It’s very warm in 17° icy windy weather. I tested it out by wearing a very thin sweater I remained unbelievably warm didn’t feel the icy cold wind the material quality is extremely strong, and pliable, the sherpa is incredibly warm and breathable it doesn’t trap your body heat making you feel over-heated. Love the hood since I really dislike hooded jackets this sit right on your shoulder & stayed in place on my head in the rainy, windy weather without tightening the hood. Overall I give it a two thumbs up and 5 stars. Can’t wait to add more Carhartt collections in my closet. Goodbye forever goose filled jackets yuck 🤢

The quality is obvious the get-go. The good-looking-ness is obvious once you put it on. Comfortable, warm, and I know this will last YEARS (provided I don't change weight. This coat doesn't seem to have a lot of "give" in that respect. 10 pounds less it's like to be too big, 10 pounds more too small). I'm 5'5", 145 lbs., and the medium works for me. I tried it on with a longer shirt and the shirt stuck out at the bottom, so keep in mind that the coat cuts off right around the hip bones. It's not long if you want to cover your hiney this coat didn't do that in my experience. Thank you hope this helps!

I've had this coat in my cart since last year but bought something different. This year I'm happy I didn't make that mistake again. It's comfortable and very warm. If you are shopping for a warm coat that you can move in and work in go ahead and buy this one, you won't be disappointed!
