  • Amazing but leg length was off for shorter legs
Size: 2 Color: Yukon
The quality was great and it fit my waist well. I am petite with a longer torso than legs so they are too long for my legs but that could be hemmed or hopefully longer with boots. I got two pairs! I have gotten shorts from this brand before that fit perfectly as well. The color was the same as pictured. ... show more

  • Awesome barn pants!
Size: 4 Plus Color: Yukon
I have several pairs of these pants that I wear for barn chores. They are perfect! I live in Florida, and I love the cotton, especially in the summer. These pants are ideal to wear around the barn, but before I get glue or bleach on them, chances are that they'll be seen at the grocery store too. I bought a couple of new pairs because my old ones in Carhartt ginger are just about shredding after about two years of constant use. I wear them for everything around the barn including trimming hooves and much more and couldn't be happier with them. The knees hold up great, and where it's showing signs that shredding is near is on the butt (it's not unusual for me to sit on the ground when trimming hooves). But again, I put these pants through the ringer, so I'm not disappointed at all. A couple of years ago, I tried the other workwear manufacturer's ladies workpants (starts with a "D") and hated them. Those had a monster waist, and the fit was terrible. Carhartt is a little loose on the waist but not horrible. The butt and thighs fit comfortably loose, and I love all the pockets. I can carry my cell phone, a hoof pick, and lots more around with me and still have two free hands to put a halter on a horse. ... show more

  • Good
I realize that I'm petite (5'2", 110 lb.), but I'm not so undersized that the smallest of these pants (Size 2 Short) should swallow me whole. I love the fabric and the overall design of these pants, and I'm desperate for a new pair of sturdy pants for gardening and DIY projects, so I'm keeping these. After submitting the pants to a very long session on high heat in my dryer, they are slightly smaller, enough so that I no longer look like a clown. I still have to cinch them significantly with a belt, and after gardening in them, the bottom cuffs end up filthy and soaking wet from dragging behind my heels, so the "Short" option didn't do me much good. I'll likely have to pay someone to hem them anyway. Yet despite my issues with the sizing, notice that I still give these 4 stars. The weight of the fabric is great and not too thick or hot, even in Georgia in July, yet they feel durable enough for my purposes. I hope they'll prove me right. I love the pockets, and the fact that they're big and deep. They're not too tight for your hand to reach in (unlike some other Carhartt pants), yet you don't feel like anything will fall out. The color is a short of slightly washed-out dark grey that borders on blue, which I find very appealing (much moreso than Black, or Moss). If you're not so worried about the pants running large, you're likely to be very pleased with these pants. I'm disappointed that I can only like them, but will never love them. ... show more

  • Pants
Size: 16 Color: Yukon
Perfect, size was too big but pants were great. Return was no problem.

  • Rip easily
I’m a mechanic and I love wearing these pants to work. They’re comfortable, fit well, and have lots of pockets. However the first pair I bought within three months of purchase got a hole in the knee and in the inner thigh. I purchased a new pair and again three months later there is a hole in the inner thigh. I do wear these pants 5 days out of the week and wash about 2 times a week, but I’d expect them to hold up much better than three months of wear. These are not small holes either ... show more

  • Runs Large!
I am 5'3" and 128 lbs give or take with a mom belly. I have a straight figure. I am pretty much always a small and a size 6, every now and then a size 4. So, I started with a size 6 in the grey - It was HUGE on me! So, the smallest size I can buy is a 2, so I tried it. The waist was still a little loose and length was still long but I decided to keep them. After a couple washings, they have shrunk and fit just right. If the pant legs were a little more slim and shorter, then they would be perfect, but for now they are some of my favorite pants. I really appreciate the side thigh pockets! I can sit comfortably with my phone in one of those pockets. So far they seem okay for Florida but I haven't endured the summer months yet. As a side note, I tried buying the black pair in a size 2 but when I tried those on, they were too tight.....so I really am unsure about the consistency of Carhartt sizing. I also tried the professional slim pant (different style altogether) and ended up with a size 6 khaki color. I don't like those as much because they are more polyester (hot) and only one side pocket but they do look like a more professional pant - material is kind of shiny. They do fit well - still long on me even though I bought the short version. ... show more
