  • Husband's 3rd pair!
Color: Dark Brown Oil Tanned Size: 10
Husband's 3rd pair ! Over the years, he has had many boots. He likes the steel toe, the waterproofing, which lasts until the top stitching goes, about 2 years, and the overall look, not too work-y and yet very sturdy. He works in them everyday during the summer/fall months, say 8 months of the year, and wears them on non-work days the rest of the year. When he dresses up, he wears white-soled tennis shoes. Very satisfied customer. And, you can't beat the shipping - ordered one day - delivered the next. Incredible! ... show more

  • surprisingly comfortable, durable, dependable boot … 6yrs before breaking down
Color: Black Oil Tanned Size: 10
surprisingly comfortable, durable, dependable boot. i think i got these on sale for $100 in 2018. it’s taken 6 years for the sole to delaminate from leather boot … but honestly they’ve outperformed my expectations and i’ve been very happy with them. a little pro shoe glue n they still work fine — there’s still tread on the soles. i wear these weekly (not daily) for shop work, gardening, n sometimes wear them hiking. definitely a good deal imo. ... show more

  • Great workboot
Color: Dark Brown Oil Tanned Size: 9
I've been using these boots for over 8 years now. On my third pair, while the price may seem high it is well worth it. From working outside in the freezing cold to a tincan of a workshop in the summer heat. Once your get a good pair of gel inserts with them you'll be set. The only real complaint I have is I wouldn't really call them water proof. More towards water resistant. ... show more

  • Rugged Flex 6" Composite Toe Work Boot
Color: Black Oil Tanned Size: 13 Wide
I have owned two pairs of Magnum Stealth Force 6.0 SZ CT. 6" Size Zip, Composite Toe work boots with "Kick Pad" (behind heel reinforcing). Great boots. I decided to change it up with the Carhartt Rugged Flex 6" Composite Toe work boot. I am thoroughly pleased. Of the main features the Magnum Stealth Force had that attracted me was the side zip. However, the side zip never really stood out as one of the boots strengths. The side zip is perhaps not as functional as one would expect (i.e. you still need to untie and loosen the laces to remove). The Kick Pad, obviously has its benefits in use. Certainly solid boots, indeed. The Carhartt Rugged Flex 6" Composite Toe work boot not only has the "Kick Pad" as represented by a reinforced outer heel, but also incorporates an outer reinforced toe pad. A feature I really like in a set of Wenger hiking boots I own that are not dissimilar to Keens toe reinforcing. Personally, I went with the 13 Wide. I felt that the little extra toe box width would serve me well. I was pleasantly surprised that the wide version did not create a situation where my foot was able to "float" in the boot, which would obviously create issues during strenuous wear situations. Additionally, I had purchased a set of cushioning insoles thinking that the stock ones would not provide enough comfort for my feet in extended wear situations. I was wrong. The stock insoles are nicely cushioned and quite comfortable. I will replace the stock insoles with the new insoles at a later date when it becomes necessary. Overall, very pleased with the construction, durability, look and feel of the Carhartt Rugged Flex 6" Composite Toe work boots. I anticipate them being long lasting and will not hesitate to buy another pair in the future. ... show more

  • Falling apart at 6 months
Color: Dark Brown Oil Tanned Size: 11.5 Wide
I bought a pair of these in Late January and already in Early June they are falling apart (5-6 months). I use these daily as work boots for farm use (walking around in grass/pasture feeding animals). The inner side walls are falling down (plastic within the cloth?) and I have to reach in the boot and reshape before putting on. The toe is peeling from the sole. Listed as having a waterproof membrane, so I took this as meaning I can use for outdoor use. I expected a more durable work boot from Carhart to last a year or two; especially for the price. It is sad that no one seems to make a decent out door work boot anymore. ... show more

  • My Husband Loves Them
Color: Dark Brown Oil Tanned Size: 14
This is the third pair of Carhartt boots that I have bought my husband over the last five-or-so years. He has a rather large foot (14 or 15 depending on the boot) and it is often difficult to find a comfortable boot in his size. He's on his feet everyday for long hours and he has found that these boots are the most comfortable from all the others he has tried. The boots usually last 12 - 15 months before I have to purchase new boots because he simply puts a LOT of "miles" on them. (not the boots fault) ... show more

  • They could be better.
Color: Black Oil Tanned Size: 11
I’ll preface by saying I wore these in the wrong environment. I’m just learning the two types of boots to wear depending on job. If you don’t know what I mean I’ll tell you. Wedge soles are engineered for working on hard, flat surfaces like a warehouse floor or paved road or sidewalk. Heel soles are designed for working on rough, uneven terrain or ladders. These boots are heel soles. I work in a machine shop for 10 plus hours a day. That being said, they were ok for about 6 months. About 1 month in they started to both split at the toe cap. The leather, or rubber just starting splitting and after almost two years they both got part of the toe cap rubber missing. The laces frayed after 6-10 months with one set even tearing in two. The last 4 months or so they became really uncomfortable with what I do for work. I tend to have to stand in one spot for hours while working other times it’s just concrete all day. They did ok, but they were tearing up pretty soon after buying them, otherwise it would of been 4 stars. If you work on hard flat surfaces all day, look for wedge style soles, otherwise outdoor stuff or rough terrain these will probably be good. ... show more
