The fleece is super comfortable and perfect for cooler fall weather. I initially ordered size XL, but found it a bit too roomy and long for my liking (I'm 5'8"). After exchanging it for a size Large, the fit was spot on, with plenty of room to move without being too baggy. The dark black color is sleek and good for wearing at work when I can get a bit dirty, but I can't help wishing they made a gray version for when I want to mix things up. These sweater are amazing, I understand they're discontinued, I'm writing my review on August 12, 2025. I'm glad to be able to still find these available to buy. The color is great and the fit is even greater. Around the belly, it falls very flattering on my big belly and doesn't make me look as fat as I really am, I bought a 3XL regular. I'm 6' tall, 350 lbs. I didn't need the tall size, my inseam of my pants is 30", so I don't know who that will help, but the regular size fit fine. I even fit into the 2XL, but it was a little tighter around my stomach, so I sent that one back and ordered the 3XL. Was reluctant to spend $80 on a fleece but I knew since it was Carhartt it would be worth it and I was correct. Debated for over 2 months if I should buy it and when it finally came back in stock and said it had 1 left in my size I went for it. Got the oat milk color and it's super warm and comfortable. Very nice. Extra Soft. No need to size up... I often wear a large to get more room for layering but no need here. Can be worn casually but can be dressed up pretty too. Fit is very flattering and accurately portrayed in image. The black is more of a black heather... I'd buy more if they had some other good colors. This is a beautiful and well-made piece of clothing. The only problem we had is that usually my son wears an extra large. He’s 6’5” and weighs about 220. But when I bought this item, an extra large and tall, it was a little too big. So I would suggest if you usually wear an extra large, switch to a large in the extra tall. ... show more

This is a very nice buy. Soft, warm, nice construction, and awesome fit for wider shoulders. I kept it on for a few hours in mid 40s weather. All around good product. Noticed a couple of irish pennants so I took a star off but it's really not a deal breaker by any means.
