    • Good work boot, but not for mechanics.

For outdoor use, this boot would be fantastic. The few times I had to use it outdoors it was an absolute champ. At one point I ended up walking through a small brush fire and they held up without much complaint, and they are still waterproof. But my main profession is mechanic, and these are not great for it. The arch support is not meant for flat concrete and the soles are far to hard for areas with oil. You have to actively try to not fall on your ass, and the poor arch support for concrete leaves you hurting at the end of the day. I ordered a pair of Redback boots, so I will update this review once those arrive to say if id recommend those instead for other mechanics looking for a good boot. EDIT: I've been using Redback for a minute now and it has been a huge upgrade. If you are on concrete all day, spend the extra dollar for Redback. ... show more

Boots wear comfortable. They lasted about 14 months before starting to fall apart. I wish the leather covered the whole toe area but stops just under the rubber toe cover.

Overall, these boots will do what you need them to for mostly everyone. I orderfill for a very large company in perishable & have put these things through the wringer. They keep your feet warm, but do not breathe basically at all due to them being waterproof. The composite toe works as it should. I've dropped 3+ pallets on these at once, cases of 100lb meat and my toes are still there, so no complaints there. My one main gripe with these is that both pairs of laces have broken in basically the same spot, while I was on the job, so maybe they could revise that in a later version. But overall it's a good work boot, just maybe keep a spare set of laces in the truck next time. ... show more

This is my second pair of these boots and I am pleased. I literally wore the first pair out after many years of hard usage of crawling under houses and working on roofs. Fair price and great quality.
