I was recently, preliminarily, diagnosed with Hallux Limitus and it was recommended that I tried an insole that will prevent my big toe from bending during exercise including running. I was not quite sure how this light insole would work. This carbon fiber insole is not only well-made, it is amazingly firm and feels durable. It fit nicely into my running shoes and I have had less pain while running. Customer service is also outstanding. I noticed that I may have ordered a size too small. I contacted the company and they responded promptly, sending me a replacement with paid return label. So far, so good. Hello, I bought a pair of these and they made a tremendous improvement when hiking. They are very rigid and prevent a lot of rolling of your foot. With less rolling there is much less pain in my feet. I liked them so much that a week or so later I bought another pair for other shoes.

I have Hallux Rigidus and needed to stiffen some sneakers to help keep my big toe joint from flexing too much. I wear a size 9.5 and ordered a pair of insoles that matched my size. When I received them I found that when they were placed inside the sneakers they did not lay flat enough and the space from the top of my toes to the inside roof of the sneakers was reduced too much making for too tight of fit. I contacted the seller via email from their web page and they offered to send me a size 9.0 to see if it would help. Result was it definitely worked in that the smaller insoles laid flatter inside the shoes giving me more room above the toes. The smaller insoles where shipped free of charge and came with a USPS return envelope so that I could retune the unused insoles at no cost to me. I would defiantly recommend the product because it is well made, is very stiff, and the seller will work with you to get a good fit. ... show more

I liked that these inserts were easy to insert in my running shoes and provided support and stabilization of my joints. They were also very comfortable and easy to adjust to using.

I received the TEGA carbon fiber inserts quickly, and noticed that the inner package appeared to have been opened. One (but not both) of the insoles appeared to be very slightly used, but seemed fine. They fit into my shoes well, are very stiff and keep my big toe joint from flexing, which is the whole point. I emailed TEGA with an FYI about the slightly used but apparently ok insole, and TEGA responded that Amazon sometimes accepts returns and resells lightly used items? But TEGA said they would mail me a new pair of insoles anyway and confirmed my address. The new insoles arrived quickly and are in perfect condition. Sports medicine clinic recommended these for pain with metatarsal caused from lots of running and not enough calf stretching. Wore for only a single run and felt worse. This may work for others, must if clinic recommends but not for me. Decided to spend more effort stretching which has produced good results. No more pain without theses inserts. Not saying they don’t work, just not for me. They are exact to size and obviously cannot be cut, so make sure you’re ordering correct size and remove existing insert to install. ... show more

These are horrible. I had two doctors recommend these, and when I wear them, it makes my knees and the surrounding tissue and muscles hurt extremely bad. It takes all the support of your expensive shoe that you buy away as soon as you put that flat carbon insert in your shoe. There’s no longer support for your arch, Your heel, the ball of your foot, your spine, or your legs. I was in excruciating pain for days after wearing them for a week. Trying to return both pair, because the first ones they sent me were open and used even though it said right on the package, cannot be resold once opened. I also took them to an Amazon return place at Kohl’s where they told me I’m not allowed to return them there. It does say Amazon drop off right on the front of the counter, Kohl’s advertises. It’s an Amazon drop off, but instead because these were $60 apiece, I have to take them somewhere special to have them returned. I am too busy for this and work long hours. I really hope Amazon management will help me out and return both pairs. ... show more
