I got this for my 9 year old son's room. He's always been more of a bed or computer chair sitter so I was worried that he wouldn't bother to sit in this chair. I am happy to report he's using it all the time while using his iPad or watching TV. I've used it a few times myself to read bedtime stories as well and it's quite comfortable but I can see if you sit in it for a long period of time as an adult it may get uncomfortable around the leg area as your weight will dig into one of the supporting bars. It's pretty low to the ground for an adult as well. I see this as more of a fit for a bigger kid or teenager's room. My son doesn't really use the ottoman portion so I don't find it necessary. It was one of the simplist Xmas gifts he got as you literally just open the box and unfold it ... show more

(Updated review): I added two stars to my initial two star review because of the customer service. After only leaving a review, the seller reached out, and wanted to resolve the issue. They sent a replacement! I'm not sure if it will hold up any different than the previous chair, only time will tell. Thank you for considering the reviews of your customers and for your quick response! Top notch customer service!! (Initial review) For the price (80usd), it's not worth it. For holding only 140lbs, it definitely does not hold up over time. Within a couple of months of average use it started to tear. It is somewhat comfortable, yet there isn't enough stable cushioning along the frame where the back of your legs and neck would contact. The chair is mostly comfortable when my feet are on the ground since my legs are long enough to raise my thighs above the front support bar. When using the ottoman however the bar starts to get uncomfortable pretty quickly.

This chair is great if you have limited space and only occasional guests in your home. Forget about buying expensive, bulky sofas to accomodate guests. For the low price I paid, it was totally worth it. I've been using them several times in the past 3 months and they still look great like the first day (when it comes to its appearance). The only con is that it does not have enough padding in the leg resting area and you feel some of the metal bar especially when resting your feet on the ottoman. To solve it, I've been using a flat pillow. Also, it's great for cold weather but not so much for hot days because of the fur, so putting a cooling blanket on top helps. ... show more

Build quality: This was used by my teenage son for only 6 months before completly breaking. The fabric on the bottom of the ottoman ripped in the center within 3 months of use making it useless. The chair frame bent and back support snapped after 6 months of use. You get what you pay for. Would not recommend for teenage boys! ... show more

Chair is very comfortable and looks to be well constructed. Easy to sit/stand as the chair does not move or wobble. Does fold flat to a nice size for storage. The ottoman is a bit smaller in width and length than I (and the cat) would prefer but works fine. I typically turn the ottoman 90° because getting my legs positioned comfortably over the bar can be a bit challenging (a "me"-thing, not a design/construction issue) and the ottoman does not collapse or fold.
