The V-Series 2 12'x12' by Caravan Canopy Sports is a slant leg canopy designed for personal use. Unlike other entry level models, the V-Series 2 is bolted, not riveted so all of the pieces are stronger and can easily be replaced. The lightweight, steel frame has a cathedral style roof and improved corner brackets to help prevent cracking and extend the life of the canopy. The V-Series 2 is idea for recreational uses such as backyard barbecues, camping, or blocking the sun while sitting on the sideline! . Love this canopy. It's the second one I've owned and the first one would still be in use had I not let a wind take it and dump it into the dunes at the beach... That was all on me, I was in the process of taking it down and didn't have a hold on it. Decided to go a size up this time from 10x10 to 12x12... Love the 12x12, great quality, great size, excellent shade, sturdy, well crafted, now I have weights for the legs and spent about 10 bucks to upgrade the stakes. I would highly recommend this canopy after doing an exhaustive search and research on competitive options. Great value and we should get plenty of use out of this canopy (I'm at the beach now every weekend and plenty of weekdays during holidays, so it's used approximately 12 - 15 times per month and is holding up perfectly! ... show more

    • Great tent, carry bag needs work for easier travel
The tent is great. I've owned a few different ones over the years and this one works and stands up to as expected to winds on the beach. The tiny aluminum stakes it comes with to secure it to the ground are a joke up against any beach wind though. I always take extra larger tent stakes and better tie straps. The cover is awkward in the sense that the wheels are at the wrong end to drag behind you easily. The cover/bag doesn't unzip long ways, but instead at the end and the end flips open (kinda like a carrier plane would to load something). So the obvious way to pack it is to stand the tent upright on it's four feet and then pull the bag over the top and pull it down to the bottom. This then puts the wheels at the light end (with the feet) and you have to carry the heavy end with your hand and drag the light end. I'd like to see the wheels at the other end of the bag where you would carry the light end and drag the heavy end. This method would also make the hand straps feel as though they would last longer and not break under it's own weight. ... show more

So far, I've only used this once, but it did well in some medium to high winds and rain. It give plenty of room under the shade with the slanted legs and at its first notch up, is high enough for me to walk around comfortably (I'm 5'10").

Very disappointed with This Company. I purchased this canopy for use outdoors.We were at a game and were using canopy to get some shade. We used the stakes that came with the Canopy and were sitting under it when a slight wind caused it to fall and become damaged. I contacted the company CARAVAN because the canopy was still under the 2 year warranty. I was told first that the product was discontinued. They offered me a 10% discount on the purchase of a new one. I told them that I could not afford a new one and requested a refund. Was then told to contact Amazon for a refund. Told them that it was past the return deadline for a refund, so I asked for a similar product. THEN AND ONLY THEN was I told that the warranty was void because the canopy was damaged by wind. You knew that when I submitted the warranty claim because I said it and sent pictures., but didn't say this until I wanted a refund or similar product. (This is copied from their website.) This warranty is void if: product damage is accidental or deliberate or caused by rain, wind or other forces of nature. but...(also copied from their website) Caravan® Instant Canopies are manufactured to provide instant protection from the elements. They stand securely on dirt, grass or pavement, but to avoid a sudden wind, it is best that they are staked or weighted down.     • Perfect for the beach
I live in the shore but would rarely walk 50 feet to the beach because after 30 minutes of baking in the sun, I’m done. This makes beach living worthwhile. Very sturdy and extremely easy to set up with help from my wife. But I’ve set it up by myself with surprising ease when she’s feeling lazy. We usually set the legs up at uneven heights to angle it towards the sun and it makes for a perfect all day beach extravaganza. Even stands up the the ocean wind with little problem.
