Considering that this was one of the lowest price canopies it is surprisingly strong. It was easy to put set up and take down - kind of like a large umbrella. It took us 5 minutes and I could even have done it alone if need be. We have it covering our hot tub and it works great to keep off the hot sun and keep leaves out of the water. (we use the hot tub as a plunge pool in the summer). Certainly if a strong wind comes it will likely go airborne if not staked down but we just lower the legs on windy days and so far so good. We're on year 2 of this canopy at the beach and quite a bit at home (3+ months as our primary canopy at home). It's taken one tumble (at home) that left two small 1/4" and 1/8" holes on one side ( I never use anchors on it). The sand isn't interfering with operation, it is durable, and provides full shade. The holes are not getting bigger, the legs easily extend, and even the carrying case is surprisingly useful. Though it is harder to put up than other canopies, it doesn't suffer from any of the problems they did, and 2 people can still put this up (1 can under the right conditions and patience). ... show more

When assembling; it went up with ease. Three of us were able to put it up without any struggle. The day we proved it; there was wind and light rain. It withheld the wind without toppling over. We did not have any weights; but will invest in some with how windy it gets here. There were not any leaks either when the rain came through. Needed this for a crafts fair/cook off event. The price was very good and this canopy went up fast and easy. Does need at least two people, if you have four it goes up even quicker. The material is good and it sure helped us stay LOTS cooler at the event. It will not take alot of wind or abuse but treated with some care it does the job just fine and was delivered faster than I thought. While settling up this canopy for the second time two weeks ago, one truss snapped at center screw hole and another opposite of snapped truss bent at center bolt hole. Purchased September 2020. Canopy comes with 2 year warranty. Went to caravan canopy website submitted warranty paper along with photos. After a week and half getting no reply I called caravan to check on status of claim. Got a voicemail for warranty department. Decided to call 800 number back spoke with operator. She stated after asking for my email that warranty department works from home due to COVID-19 and trusses were not covered under warranty. Suggest you think long and hard before purchasing this. They require two different length truss. Each costing around $40.00. Toss in another $40.00 and you could buy a complete canopy and have enough parts for later down the road. ... show more

This canopy is not 12x12, it’s much smaller. The 12 x 12 is just the frame with slant legs. When it’s set up it’s like 9x9!
