tried as best i could to take care of them and not burn them up, but it didnt work. i broke them in, i warmed them up. pretty sure i never hit the max with these. ive had 400w on cheap 12s before that hit way harder than these ever did. however the motors burnt in one, and the other got stuck and pulled off. this happened while going over a bump that wasnt to bad at all. during the very cold weather weve had recently so maybe that was a factor. it was on my way back home and i feel they were probably warm enough. i thought it was my amp at first because of how they died. id love to try again, as maybe i just got a bunk set, which happens with cheaper stuff, but the price has went up a little. i really wanted to like them. didnt even get to loosen up the foam all the way :( maybe ill try again and change my review ... show more

im running a old fozgate punch 2 channel amp and im running 2 of these 10 inch subs on each channel and they sound better than the 2 10 inch kickers i got from best buy . Update, now im running two 12 skar subs with these and baught another 1 and i put it in my kicker box and hooked it to my old panasonic home theater surround system and it blew my mind how well it handles it especially going from probally a 100 watt 4 inch sub ( im not positive becuase i got only the amp off of ebay) i torture tested it and it got low enough I could see and hear my window vibrating. On another note some of you might asking why did i swap my 10 inch kicker for one of these pyle speakers, they are great for rap and techno but they sounded muddy and didn't get real loud and im not really into rap or techno and they sound bad with metal and was ok for country music. Personally I think these pyle have better sound quality than kickers do and are definitely louder. How they sound across the board: between rock,metal,country the bass sounds clear and growls at you. Rap depends on artist if your listening to coolio it depends on the song if its dmx they sound great with most of his songs i havent tried them with newer rappers. Techno/dubstep it really just depends on the song, i dont know if this counts as techno or not but songs like party rock anthem sound great with theses speakers My experience might be different my boxes are sealed and have no polyfill in it ... show more

The rear woofer on my Chevy Tahoe was blown so, since I was replacing all the speakers in my doors (6), I went ahead and ordered this 8” woofer to replace it. It fit right into the round slot in the mounting box that held the old speaker. When I turned the treble all the way down with the corresponding adjustment to the base on my radio, the pulsating sound of pure base tones came through clearly with no broken, sputtering frizzy sounding pulsations present at all. I’m not a speaker expert, but I know enough to appreciate good smooth sounding music from speakers that are put to the ultimate test. The shape of the speakers basket is slightly larger than most common speakers so you might have to modify the speaker cabinet hole. on the other hand it has great quality sound and is very loud. 10/10 would recommend.

I rarely review products that were not acquired through vine purchases. I'm choosing to review this one because after I purchased this speaker, I researched the seller and viewed many negative reviews on their website. Upon reading some of those reviews, naturally I expected the worst upcoming experience in product purchasing. I happy to report that those expectations were not met and everything went smoothly from purchase to usage. The sound quality of this speaker is excellent, and the bass is much deeper than the speaker (12" woofer) it has replaced. The quality of sound you get from this speaker is at a great price that's hard to be beat. The installation was very easy for me. Since I was replacing with the exact same size, removal of the old unit's mounting screws and connection wires was all that was needed. Replacement of the mounting screws was needed because the newer unit's mounting surface was 1/4 inch thicker but everything else fit right into place. Total removal and replacement time was less than 10 minutes. I give this speaker and seller 5+ stars. The speaker is great quality for a decent price. The seller gave an estimated delivery dates and it arrived in a timely manner. Both of those points exceeded my expectations and deserve a positive review from a customer that highlights their excellent work. ... show more
