Yes, Since the power cords for our 2005-2015 Tacoma radios are fully compatible, ranging from low to high configurations, and from old JBL to new JBL systems. For the 2005-2015 Tacoma models equipped with JBL, there are at least three types of original car head units. To maximize adaptation to customers' needs, we provide more than 10 kinds of wire harnesses. Not all connectors may be used. Before installation, you can take photos of the front and back of the original car head unit, and our engineers will customize a wiring diagram for your car. This is caused by prolonged pressing on the screen during installation and requires screen calibration. Please refer to the video on the product page to complete the calibration. Five stars (for this price point). 2009 Toyota Tacoma w/ JBL Audio Does everything as advertised, and the install wasn’t too hard to figure out with a Youtube video. I have not connected my steering wheel controls to it, so I cannot speak to that, but I will eventually get around to it, although I haven’t really missed them. I thought I would miss having a volume knob (and I do) but the haptics on this screen work well and aren’t a pain to use. Apple Carplay connects by itself every time, although there is maybe a 1.5-2 second delay from every input on my phone to the system. Like I said before, for what you pay for, it’s great, but temper your expectations compared to a product that is x3-5 the price. It comes with USB 2.0 hookups ran through the glovebox, which I thought was sort of a weird addition, but it has come in CLUTCH. If you have a USB flash drive with movies/shows/songs/etc, this system will read all the data and you can watch movies/shows, listen to music/podcasts right on the screen. Amazing for long road trips. Google Play store being on here is also great, using my phone as a wifi hotspot, I’ve been able to download Peacock on the system, and watch World Cup matches on my lunch break and out and about. Overall the sound is about the same, actually a little better because I feel the tuner is more refined than the stock system. We installed this about a week ago, and it has been working great. The fitment is excellent, and it doesn’t look cheesy or overly aftermarket. Honestly, it looks like it could have come stock from the factory. The instructions are a bit confusing in a few spots, but overall the install was fairly straightforward and we were able to work through it without much trouble. One thing worth noting is that the USB cables are routed into the glove box. We’re not entirely sure why they’re needed or why they are placed there, which feels a bit odd. The backup camera is very clear and high-definition. When you put the vehicle in reverse, all audio cuts out. I actually like this feature—especially with a new driver—since it helps them focus more on what’s going on around the vehicle. One downside: the backup camera arrived cracked. I tried calling but didn’t get an answer; however, I emailed them and received a very quick response. They sent out a replacement camera right away, and it should be an easy fix. For the price it's a lock! The instructions aren't great but you can figure it out if you just take your time figuring out the connections and watch some YouTube videos. Everything works well including the steering wheel controls and my original reverse camera. Little trouble with Android auto but I think it's mainly because my phone is old. Wireless AA works through wifi phone-to-stereo so make sure that's on. If you exit Android auto, you can get back into it by opening the apps page and clicking the zlink app. It's not an expensive unit but I wasn't expecting that. Lots of room at the back since it's flat backed, it just clicks into the plastic clips instead of using the factory mount metal side brackets/10mm screws. Comes with loads of wires and everything you need including a trim tool. Overall super pleased! Glad I went with the 9" instead of some of the bigger ones, looks very flush. I was worried I'd miss the volume knob but it's not an issue with steering wheel controls and the side menu and on screen buttons. ... show more

Update: 3 months after and the bluetooth disconnects from my phone every 2 minutes or so. I contacted technical service, they instructed me to update the version of the app, I did and still didn't work, I told them but they stopped replying. I was hesitant but got it anyways. Installation was easier than expected. 1) The instructions are very basic. 2) Tried to follow videos in youtube and got an idea but none of them are 100% applicable to this unit. 3) This unit is easier than any of those videos in youtube. In essence once you unmount the stereo from the car, you need to get the ABS/clock/hazards part and put it in the new unit (you don't even need to break the parts like they do in the videos, you take that part off and slide it in) 4) That being said, from that moment one no mores screws are used, incluiding the harness that secure the head unit. 5) Carefully take the yellow clips from the old unit and put them in the new one 5) You just connect the cables and stick the stereo in. 6) I put the 2 lower screws back in, but the 2 upper ones no since there's no harness to attach them to. + The fact that there was no more screws make me wonder about how solid the stereo will be, specially once i got off road or drive in rough terrain. I'll update then. + I was sad because my steering wheel controls didn’t work but pressing the options in the main menu i found the way to activate them: Car settings SWC type > select "Learning type" Enter SWC setting interface > you can pretty much customize your controls as shortcuts! *I incluide a picture of these steps* *I still haven't been able to use the GPS outside android auto, so i don't see the purpose of the GPS antenna. I bought a few of these and landed on this one. Looks more stock and fits in seemlessly to the original consul. Wish I would’ve bought it years ago. Seventeen year old truck got a face lift. I do miss the volume knob but out of all the ones out there, this is it for the price. Don’t like how the volume cuts when you put it in reverse for the camera. I’m still old school and don’t really use the camera but it’s nice to have. I put the camera harness behind the license plate so it’s not so obvious. Having the map on a big screen is so nice. I prefer the split screen showing music/podcasts and then the map on the other side. There’s a few second lag if you skip 30 secs ahead in audio but not enough to piss me off. I would suggest purchasing a pack of extra clips ($6) especially if you have an older vehicle cause if they break off catapult behind the screen into the rats nest of the wires—they’re gone forever. Few bucks well spent. I still need to figure out the equalizer and all that because I listen to more podcasts than I do music. I live outside city limits at the bottom of a canyon so I thought connecting would take a little longer since it does for me everything else but this connects right away. Haven’t figured out what I’m going to do with the extra USB’s that come out of the glove compartment just yet. Those are slightly annoying when you’re changing out the cabin filter. I might invest in a bracket of sorts. 1st pic is original consol 2nd is the one I went with (this review) 3rd is one I found that was too big, while I liked the volume knob, the screen looked very much after market or looked like it was trying to look like a Tesla. Also found the other buttons to be completely unnecessary. (Back up camera is the same camera hook up for this product review. 4th pic is the split screen. Kinda miss my cd player— but I’ll deal. Just finished installing this in our 2015 Tacoma w/ JBL. Knowing what I know now, I'd say the provided instructions were good enough that a semi-experienced person can figure it out. The stereo is designed to fit a Tacoma, Prius, Tundra, Camry, etc so your wiring setup may not be exactly as shown in the installation guide, which was my case. But with patience I figured out the wiring. Note: Some of the original factory cables were left unconnected, and not all of the provided harnesses require connection. Pros: -Cost -Good fit with existing dash -Definitely an upgrade to have a larger screen for maps and the ability to use CarPlay Pro/Con - Provide Installation Guide did not include my exact radio, but with some thought it was sufficient to complete the wiring. Overall, installation wasn't straight forward but with YouTube videos, provided instructions, prayer, and Ruicar customer support, it's done. - Factory stereo had premium audio w/ JBL and sounded REALLY good before installing this new one. The sound definitely isn't better and I'm questioning if it's even as good as the original. I'll have to keep playing with the audio settings, but I'm kind of bummed about this...I love my music. (I've even considered reinstalling the factory stereo to see if others can tell the difference, but for now I'm letting it go.) Overall, I'm keeping my rating at 5 Stars because given everything, it's still a good overall upgrade for our 2015 Tacoma. Cons -Required customer support to get the radio configured properly To Ruicar's credit, customer service saved the day. They checked my wiring given the pictures I provided, and after confirming that was correct, they provided additional instructions. Once the radio was set via software to the proper configuration, the issues I experienced went away. Overall, very pleased with the product and customer support. BAD: Not compatible with the Toyota premium JBL 7 speaker audio system. There’s essentially no sound to the rear speakers or subwoofer. Front speaker quality is very poor. Equalizer and fade does nothing to correct this because the included head unit wiring does not communicate with the OEM JBL amp. Head unit doesn’t keep time. Clock is a few hours fast every time the car is restarted. Customer support is no help. I connected everything per included instructions, and reached out regarding the issue. They only offered generic advice such as “try EQ adjustment” or “connect 12v power”. GOOD: Apple CarPlay does connect ~95% of the time, so iOS based apps such as Maps and Spotify will work. BOTTOM LINE: If you want a snazzy looking, big touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, this unit can do it for relatively cheap. However, if you want your sound system to actually work as intended, sound quality better than a clock radio, or a clock that actually tells time, look elsewhere. This one looks the part, but when the makeup comes off, she has horrible complexion, bad breath, hygiene problems, and the intelligence of a greasy pizza box. ... show more
