The pictures I posted are with this review are of the Harmon Kardon Navigation HU's pinout and also include instructions for adding the power to the Amplifier that the Junsun harness does not do. After you do this the Junsun radio should work perfectly fine. The Junsun customer service team is very friendly, courteous and willing to work with customers. Also if you want to utilize the cars factory usb connector you need to also purchase the RED WOLF Car Radio Stereo Retain OE Factory USB Port Retention Harness Wiring Cable Adapter for Toyota 2012-2018, Lexus 2013-2015, Subaru 2013-2016, Honda 2015-2019, ASIN: B09BCH4SRD. All and all if you have a subaru with the Harmon Kardon Navigation and sound system all you need is a piece of 16 gage wire two wire connectors and to fallow the instructions written on the pinout diagram and everything should work fine. Having replaced a few stereos in my time, this one was pretty impressive. The thing I didn't like was the instruction manual. Very vague. It's important to make sure you order the right model for your car. The steering controls all worked and the install was fairly strait forward. The fact the the entire trim is replaced makes it look good. I had to think about it for awhile because there are alot od different cords in the package. Depending on your vehicle, depends on which cords you use. I upgraded my speakers also because the amp is nothing to brag about. But with efficient speakers it helps. I did finally get ahold of customer service and they have been responding. They even sent me a link for a firmware update. I haven't done it yet but hopefully it goes well. Now that I have a contact, I think if there are any problems, they can guide me. I am putting a powered sub woofer in soon because the low end is lacking. Overall I like the unit. I'm still trying to figure out how to hook the stock reverse camera into this. If you need help on the I stall, YouTube has alot od videos on how to get the stock stereo out. I will try to update this when I do the firmware and the sub woofer. ... show more

Bullet points * Super easy install * Apple CarPlay works flawlessly * Interface is intuitive * Steering wheel controls just work * Runs Android so (not saying you should but) you can install apps like Netflix or Disney+ and download movies. I’ve installed a ton of stereos in my time and this one was, by far, the easiest install in my ‘13 Impreza Sport. Pop the panel off, remove stereo, plug the adapter in, pop the panel back on and drive away. Apple CarPlay works great. No lag or echo on calls and is as responsive as you would expect it to be. The only issue I’ve had is on a couple occasions, CarPlay wouldn’t launch. I had to unpair and pair again. But no big issue. Steering wheel controls worked OOB but the down side is it doesn’t have a mapping for voice assistants. Other stereos I tried before this one supported it, so not sure why this one doesn’t. Not to mention that damn screen just looks awesome in my old car. The screen isn’t some 1080p, 144hz display or anything but it’s bright, responsive, and viewable even in the Reno Nevada sun. Just be forewarned that if you’re wearing polarized sunglasses, you will need to lean over a little to change the FOV to see clearly. All in all, I would definitely recommend this. ... show more

Sound needs to be tuned in DSP to suit your needs, it is louder than stock (bass). Please note factory speakers are low quality and should be updated soon after install for best sound quality. The UI 3.0 is much better than the older version and more responsive too. Only issue is with the Overlay the Launcher3 uses when trying to use the Play store. You'll have to disable the touch assist and close any other apps then restart the unit to actually use the store. ... show more

If I was considering which product to purchase as an upgrade for my car stereo, knowing what I know now, I would definitely choose a different product Installation is actually pretty easy after you find the YouTubers who explain it well as you will not be receiving adequate instructions from the manufacturer (unless you are a car audio installer, it'll be a piece of cake of you) The difficulty lies within the myriad of unused wiring that remains connected to the unit but is intended for use in other vehicles. You just need to find the 5 correct connections out of the 15-20 or so shipped. 30 day return policy? Coincidentally, on the 32nd day after installation my stereo simply would no longer turn on. It had been working exactly as expected up until it no longer worked at all. I have verified the presence of power and in tact wiring. Installation still complete and correct. I have reached out to the manufacturer via their website's contact form. Depending upon how my request for a replacement product is handled I will edit this negative review. My review is honest and I have actually tamped down on the expression of my frustration. I do rideshare driving for my income at the moment so my navigation and sound system are significant components. ... show more

Ordered a Junsun plug/play and what I received was a box of problems. I rarely write reviews but I'm really miffed about this specific purchase :( Took my dashboard apart and removed the old radio in my 2015 Subaru Forester to install this Junsun plug and play. Sent me a Toyota harness that does not work with my Subaru even though the seller advertised this unit to specifically work with my vehicle year/make/model. Also the kit did not include the 4 tiny screws necessary to attach the hazard light button to the dash kit. Tried to contact the seller and the manufacturer to get the right harness and screws but have not heard back nor do I expect to. Amazon rep told me to send the whole unit back for a refund. Huge waste of time and energy! ... show more
