Okay. This review and instruction is for anyone who forgot how to set their Molicar Small Gun or Everything Safe. I purchased this one with the numbers and finger. 5 star. Easy to use. Easy to set up. Unless of course you are like someone I know who easily forgets and always misplaces their manual. Before you read further, make sure you have already installed batteries etc. Got it? Nope? Go do that first and then read on. How to Set Up the Finger Bio Detect feature: With the Molicar open and facing you. The open part is open towards you so that you are looking inside the Molicar safe with the foam in it. Then.. 1) Use the key and open the Molicar safe and keep it open. 2) Find the 2 little lights on the bottom right corner of the inside of the Molicar. See it Good. 3) Put your dominate finger on the lights and slide it down until you feel a tiny button. Yep. That button is your magic button. Call it what you want. "G" Spot. Whatever. G for Gun. Hahahaa! 4) Now press the button and hold for like, 3 seconds and breathe. 5) Then press numeric #3 - the #3 is the choice for "I'm want to set-up my Finger Print to Open my Molicar" gun safe. 6) The Molicar finger sensor will flash. 7) Press your chosen finger on it and lift up. You will do this 3 to 4 time. 8) You will know when to stop when you hear the Molicar do it's electronic noise like it is registering your finger tip. 9) Repeat from Step 1 to Add additional fingers. 10) Make sure your key is on the outside of the Molicar and not inside. Then close the lid and try your finger prints. How to Set-Up the Key Code or Access Code - AKA: Your Number Combination. 1) Again, use your key or finger print to open your Molicar. 2) Make sure the open lid is facing you, meaning you are looking into the Molicar gun safe. 3) Find the 2 little lights again on the right bottom corner. 4) Put your dominate finger on it and slide down to feel that "G" Spot. Hahaha! = Little Button underneath the two little lights. 5) Press and hold for like, 3 seconds and let go. 6) Press or select #1 on your Molicar. #1, is the option to tell the Molicar, "Hey, I want to set up a Combo number Key Pad Access Code." 7) The Molicar will flash. 8) Now enter your chosen 6 digits number. 9) You will enter the chosen 6 digits number and re-enter it like, 3 times. 10) You will know you did it right because you will hear that mechanical buzzing noise like your Molicar brain is registering your chosen Combo Key Pad Number Code. That is it!!!! Make sure you have your key just in case you forgot and need to redo the above 2 instructions. Try your chosen Key Pad Access Combo Code. And Try your finger prints. Quality feels nice, will it keep anyone determined out. I don't think so but I may be wrong, regardless for anti tampering or for safety around a family if gets the job done very well. Fingerprint reader and code lock entry is very responsive, plenty of room for a large size piece inside. I'm very pleased.

I did my research and reviews and other options on the web as well as in store. For the price and function this is perfect; was able to get it on sale so that made it even better. The buttons are easy and the lock seems good. The internal light is nice but im not too worried about that i don't have to see my pistol just be able to access it. The button press sounds are a bit loud in my opinion but responsive and i opted to not use the finger print scan thing…. Just 6 digit code and it opens. It holds my hi point 9mm, will eventually get another mag should fit w/o any problem. I would buy another if i needed to.

This item is absolute garbage. The instruction manual is illiterate, with elementary errors in English grammar and usage throughout. I go to set fingerprints, and the first one seems to register fine, but nothing I can do can make it accept a second fingerprint. And the one that I registered, doesn't unlock the safe. And, after a few minutes, I find that the default numeric access code no longer opens it either. Resetting the initial settings doesn't put it in a state where I can set a fingerprint, either. Clearly looks like the CPU got confused and is in a state where it doesn't do much. Which is okay for a toy, but a gun safe is in the absolute no-fail category of things that simply must, MUST work as intended, reliably, every single time, no excuses. If it is holding the firearm a homeowner needs to access to defend their life, then an easily confused CPU is unacceptable. I am entirely comfortable with technology, and if this thing misbehaves for me, it'll misbehave for others as well. Sending back for a refund. Strongly recommend against buying this. Or, given what I've seen here, anything else by this manufacturer.

Wanted a small, easy to access safe for crossing state lines or traveling and this fit the bill perfectly. Fingerprint works good but I really like the additional keypad code option as a fail safe. Build quality is what you'd expect for the price and it included everything needed to secure it in vehicle.
