Bought this to replace the rocker switch that came with my light bar. I wasnt a fan of drilling a hole in my dash, and this was the only replacement I could find that came with a decent looking mount. That being said, it works great and the wires attached are a thicker gauge than the ones I was replacing. Two cons are the adhesive and the light on the switch. The adhesive would only stick to smooth surfaces and not my actual dash. The light is always on - whether the light bar is or not. If it was off when the light is off that would be fine but now it's just another minor thing to drain battery over the weekend. ... show more

This a great alternative to installing a switch without having to drill holes. Used these for aftermarket lighting on customers vehicles so if they ever wanted to take the accessories off there wouldn’t be holes from where the switch was mounted.

Installed this in my chevy truck, mounted it on the dash. I taped around the location, sanded, cleaned with alcohol. Then i used a hair dryer to heat the dash an the adhesive. It is not coming off any time soon.

It's a nice switch with solid click and really bright LED indicator. You can wire it so the light is always on or comes on when the load is powered up (standard 3 leads, no wiring diagram, check with a meter before wiring it in). Be sure to look at the dimensions because the housing is bigger than you might think. Substantial wires are too stiff, but that seems to be the norm in insulation these days. The 16A at 12V rating is higher than most switches and just what I needed to control a small 150W inverter. ... show more

I expected the size to be the same as other rocker switches like this that I have, it’s bigger, too big for my application so only 3-stars. These are 1/16th under 2 inches wide and the same deep. They’re also 1-1/4” high but that’s not a problem. They’ll be fine for some use or other and it’s just that they don’t fit this time. The pigtail is nice heavy gauge wire for the red and white and theres a smaller black which I suppose is for external control of the led. ... show more
