These are great pants. I’m not sure how to rate the sizing, and FP is notorious for wacky sizing even within the same product line. I’m typically a 31 or 32 in jeans. Based on reviews, I went for a 32. It fits perfectly, meaning it fits exactly with no wiggle room. But they are comfortable and I love the shape! So I am wearing them happily and then also ordered another color in 33 so it can ride a little lower. I do recommend these, but if you’re in between sizes I would recommend going for the larger size in your range. ... show more

I bought these because of the brand. I usually love items from this brand. They are well made and fit true to size but these particular jeans are just way too baggy and wide in the legs for me. Also, I’m 5’7” and these hit the top of my foot. I wanted them to be a little shorter.

Oooooo I love these jeans ! I’m 5’0 and 130 pounds . I purchased a size 29. They were loose ( in a good way) and the perfect length . They hang at my hips nicely . I’m washing and drying for the absolute perfect fit . They’re also a very heavy fabric .

I bought this style of jeans on the free people site. I loved the style so much that I wanted another pair. I found these in the right size on Amazon in a good color. The only caveat is they run big so size down.

If you’ve been debating the Free People barrel jeans, this is your sign. These are hands down my favorite jeans ever. The fit is magic. They’re structured without being stiff, relaxed without looking sloppy, and somehow give you shape while still feeling comfortable enough to wear all day. The barrel-leg cut is actually so flattering. It tapers in just the right places, so you get that on-trend, effortless look without feeling like you’re drowning in fabric. They hit perfectly at the ankle and look good with everything… sneakers, sandals, boots, even barefoot around the house. The denim quality is amazing. Thick, durable, and it softens the longer you wear it. They keep their shape through multiple washes. No sagging, no stretching out in weird places. I also love that they’re easy to dress up or down. I’ve worn them to run errands and I’ve worn them out to dinner and felt cute both ways. Sizing was true for me. Love the jeans! They are quite baggy. I got a 32 and wish I would have gone with a 31. But oh well I can probably shrink them a little. For reference I’m 5’8” and 180lbs.
