It's plugged into my cig lighter ports as it is supposed to be, but it does not seem to be doing anything. It looks nice and has a pretty blue light. Not really much of an air freshener. Oh well, it was cheap enough that I'm not going to worry about it. It does pull power from electric/hybrid cars so be aware of that. I noticed that after installation, instead of being at 70% battery when I arrived at work, I was only at 68%. This has been consistent. I bought a used car that had a strong smoke smell. This completely removes the smoke smell within a few minutes of starting the car. Because of the way an ionizer works, it can't change the fact that the car's carpet is infused with smoke odor, so each time the car sits, more smoke odor permeates the car. However, the ionizer cleans the air so that within a few minutes, you can't smell anything, and it stays that way as long as the car is running. (In other words, this is only turned on while your car is running.) As long as you understand how it works (i.e. it does not cover or remove existing odors; it takes the "odor particles" out of the air), it's a win! ... show more

Can't tell if working or not! It lights up but unlike other units does not produce the normal ozone negative ion smell. Will continue to observe a little longer. Before "return to sender".
