  • Solid Barbell at an Excellent Price
Style: Elite Size: 6 ft (72") - Black
This barbell has been a great addition to my home gym. It feels solid, has a comfortable grip, and handles my workouts without any issues. The sleeves rotate smoothly, and the overall build quality is impressive for the price. I would definitely recommend it to anyone building a home gym.

  • Extremely Durable Barbell and Great for Heavy Lifting
Style: Elite Size: 7 ft (86") - Chrome
I absolutely love this CAP Olympic Barbell. The knurling feels great it gives me a secure grip without feeling so aggressive that it tears up your hand's. That’s a big plus for me because I use this bar regularly and don’t want my hands getting destroyed every workout. So far, this bar has handled a 615-lb deadlift and has taken a serious beating in my home gym without giving me any issues. It has proven to be extremely durable, comfortable, and reliable under heavy use. I especially love this bar for landmine exercises. It works great for rows, presses, rotations, and other landmine movements, and the standard Olympic design makes it very versatile for different workouts. CAP also offers landmine attachments specifically designed to work with 2-inch Olympic bars. One thing I would mention to future buyers: I personally don’t love it for bench pressing because of the knurling. If you train with gloves, that may not be an issue, but bare-handed, I prefer a smoother knurl for bench work. Overall, this has been an excellent, durable bar that can take a beating. If you’re looking for a solid bar for heavy lifting and especially landmine training, I highly recommend it. Great grip,Very durable,Comfortable, Excellent for landmine exercises ... show more

  • Excellent General Purpose Barbell – Great Value for Home Gyms
Style: Elite Size: 7 ft (86") - Chrome
I’ve been using this barbell for a few weeks now, and it has far exceeded my expectations, especially for the price point. First, the packaging was top-notch. The bar arrived well-protected and wrapped in plastic, which turned out to be a lifesaver since it was raining on delivery day. Despite the weather, the bar stayed perfectly dry. One of the standout features for me is the knurling. It’s quite sharp, which I personally prefer, as I wear gloves during my lifts. If you like a more aggressive grip, you’ll appreciate the feel of this bar. It ensures a solid hold, which is great for heavier lifts. Another design feature I love is that the collar sleeves are held in place by a hex bolt instead of the usual spring clip. This is a nice touch for anyone who likes to take apart their bar occasionally for cleaning and maintenance. It makes servicing the bar easier if you're into maintaining the bearings or keeping the surfaces well-oiled. I’ve also noticed the bar has a bit of whip, which I became aware of while using it for landmine exercises. I rested the middle on a padded cinder block with 75 lbs on the end, and the whip was apparent. For most lifts, though, it performs just as you'd expect from a general-purpose bar. Overall, at this price, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better option for a typical home gym. Unless you’re looking for something highly specialized, spending significantly more on a bar doesn’t make sense. This one gets the job done and then some. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Great quality at a reasonable price
Style: Elite Size: 5 ft (60") - Chrome
Although Amazon completely destroyed one end of the cardboard box the bar was undamaged, which indicates good protective packaging. The chrome finish is very clean and smooth, and the knurling on the bar feels just right with and without gloves. The 28mm size feels substantial but not oversized. This bar is actually round. I have another Olympic bar (not Cap brand) that came as part of a complete set, and you can feel several flat spots around the circumference of the bar. When spinning the new bar inside the bearings with no load there is some squeaking, and I'll probably disassemble and lubricate it. Otherwise, there is no excessive play in the parts. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase. It looks and feels like a high end bar but without the high end price. I have a small workout space and the 5' length is perfect for dead lifts, freeing up my 7' bar to become a permanent home on the bench. ... show more

  • Nice bar!

Nice bar but keep in mind the loadable sleeve is a little less than 11". I thought it was 13.7" as advertised.

  • Great Budget Olympic Bar - Solid Performance for the Price
Style: Elite Size: 7 ft (86") - Chrome
I picked this up as a starter bar for my home gym and honestly it’s been solid so far. For the price, getting a full 7 ft Olympic bar that weighs 45 lbs is kind of hard to beat. I’ve been using it for bench, squats, and deadlifts (around 300 lbs max right now), and it feels balanced and easy to use. with decent knurling; not too aggressive but still gives a good grip.the color is nice, and the finish is smooth. Seems as durable as any bar I have used in commercial gyms. The only real downside is the sleeve rotation. The bronze bushings aren’t as smooth as higher-end bars, so you can definitely feel the difference there, but it’s not a dealbreaker for normal lifts. Compared to something like a Rogue bar, yeah it’s not on that level; but it’s also a fraction of the price. If you’re building a home gym on a budget, this gets the job done without overthinking it. ... show more

  • Quality Blk Steel 5’Oly’Bar
Style: Elite Size: 5 ft (60") - Black
Well made heavy black bar, five foot long , 1 1/4 inch knurled grip bar and 2 inch Olympic Ends. Arrived in mint condition, even though the box it was packed in was beat up between shippers. Feels good to grip. Wear gloves if don’t like the knurling. Very happy with this purchase.

  • An honest review. Don’t get it
Style: Elite Size: 7 ft (86") - Chrome
The best thing about this bar is: 1. It’s the correct size and weight (fits olympic weights) 2. It’s cheap (for bars) 3. You can pay payments to get it 4. It has nurling or however it is spelled (the grippy parts of the bar) both where you put your hands and where you’d rest it on your shoulders 5. It can handle a decent amount of weight. The upper limit is probably 500lbs, but I haven’t tested that. It says 700lbs. Could be more but is probably closer to 500lbs. Most of you reading will never squat or deadlift that much, or if by the time you do, enough time will have passed where you can save up for a good bar. If those positives trump everything else I say then this is the bar for you. These are the bad things: 1. I don’t think there are any bearings in the bar or they are extremely crappy or rusted because the weight does not freely spin although you can make it spin yourself with your hand. This might effect your pr slightly and with clips can make the bar roll backwards 2. This is the biggest thing for me. The part of the bar where you load the weights is not smooth. They made it with a bunch of banded ridges that wrap around it all the down. So when you put on weights it can flake the paint or can chip metal off slowly over time and it makes a terrible noise from friction when you put the weight on because of it. It also makes putting on clips extremely hard if they’re new, a lot harder than they have to be. The clips have to overcome each ridges and make that terrible metal against bumps (ridges) of metal every time. Definitely a forearm workout. This *may* (not sure) be overcome if you get the plastic colored clips rather than the old school metal clamp clips. The metal clips equal about 1lb though and make up for the fact that this bar is 44lbs and not 45lbs. If you have the money get a better bar. If not get this one and save up or just wait and save up to get a good bar. Good bars aren’t cheap. Get a reputable brand not some random amazon brand. I think there is the rep brand and the ohio brand of barbell that are good ... show more
