Used it for the first time this past weekend and they definitely held down our canopy in the breeze and wind gusts, however, there is only velcro keeping the top closed so sand will spill out during transport. Just got them, filled them and attached them so the rating is superficial. The bags are great quality. Thick, heavy duty Velcro, easy to fill and easy to attach to the legs of the canopy. I’ll have to reevaluate once there has been a breeze or windy day to see if they held it in place
