Canon Pixma Model TS6420-White I was apprehensive to order this printer after some reviews mentioning difficulties in set up but I wanted a printer with front controls due to it's location access in a cabinet, so I decided to take a chance. Very glad I did because the entire set up took at the very maximum, from unbox to set up connections (wireless) with cell phone & laptop - 15 minutes. The set up card directs to the URL to enter into the wireless devices, once the devices connect-there is a step-by-step video explaining everything - then offering the videos showing how to operate the machine with a quick link, if needed, to the online user manual. As for the printer: my last printer was a Canon Pixma, older model which served me well but finally got tired & seemed to become possessed, operating in on position, on it's own, not wanting to stop or turn off until unplugged from source of energy. Realizing it was past time to put the old Pixma to rest- I had no idea how slow it had been! This printer is so much faster, it's a very compact size-much more than I expected, but pleasantly surprised as I have limited space & I am so pleased with the front controls which are easily legible, I also like the White color being tired of all black tech equipment when living in a building surrounded by dusty outdoor areas. So far, I have nothing but praise for this Canon Inkjet Printer. Very pleased. It was packed & shipped in it's Canon box, packed well, delivered as anticipated, reasonably priced when I purchased it June 10,2022. Highly Recommend.

I have to reset it every time it shuts off. Like I like to do pictures and once it does the last command it will shut off automatically. So I have to go back in and reset it or anything new.

Printing, copying, and scanning all work normally. The setup is a bit inconvenient, but once you finish it, the printer is pretty easy to use. There is a paper cassette as well as a back opening, it's a particularly nice feature to me because I use lettersize and A4 for different purposes, and this saves me from the trouble of reloading paper every time I need to change size. It's also auto-duplex so very conveinent for two-sided printing. The only downsides are the printing speed and colour printing quality. This printer is definitely not one of the fastest printers I have used, but it's not slow either, the speed is acceptable. Regarding colour printing, there are horizontal lines (if the paper is in portrait position) on the printed pictures, and they are about 1 centimetre apart from each other, quite obvious lines.

I use this printer pretty much just for my kids to print school stuff, or for shipping labels, or occasionally for fun little stuff that I want to do. I haven't really used it for photos too much, so I can't vouch for amazing photo quality or anything. What I can say is that this printer works when I need it to, no matter what kind of paper I use, and it's great on ink. It's a million times more reliable than the previous brand that I had, and far less expensive. It's like my little buddy now that I know I can rely on. Set up is super simple. After that, click and go. Definitely recommend this for ease of use and reliability in a home printer.

After upgrading my computer I found my Pixma 2820 was no longer supported so I upgraded to this model. It took a few minutes to find the online manual but setup via the USB option was pretty easy. A USB cable was NOT included, but the one from my older model worked perfectly. I work with graphics, so print quality is pretty important to me and this printer does a great job for printouts that are crisp, clean and color accurate to my original digitally rendered images. I didn't need a new scanner, but since this printer comes with one, it will now replace my Canon LiDE 120. The printer's scanner function interface is identical to my older scanner so I was scanning documents and photos in a matter of minutes without help. I like the fact that this printer does not have too many "bells and whistles" function buttons...doesn't take up too much real estate in my office...has a clean profile and ink cartridges are easy to find both locally and online. I did not opt for the ink replacement services. After reading some of the reviews here, I was expecting this machine to be slower and noisier than my older model but found the opposite to be true. Great little printer at a great price!

It works only once you realize how to correctly feed paper, which is nowhere indicated clearly in the instructions (there are basically no instructions). You need to expand the front of the paper tray just enough out of the machine that the paper stack is not all jammed up under the feeder, otherwise the whole paper stack is sucked in all at once instead of one page at a time. Once I fiddled enough with it, I realized the extender at the front of the paper tray is supposed to stick out a bit from the front of the machine for it to work properly... Note that it is also super slow to both get ready and to shut down - it is doing a bunch of operations and noise at the same time - just be patient and it'll eventually get there. It feels like it needs several minutes to get ready every time. Ok for a home printer. Print quality is good so far, as long as you get these details right. Not enough experience so far to determine how quickly it consumes ink.

Print quality is high. Attractive unit (white). Footprint is small. Fairly quiet. Fast enough. Small paper tray. Need to check supply fairly frequently.

You have to print a few pages to break it in. I previously wrote the following “If you’re looking for a printer that prints at an average speed, this one is NOT it.” It’s doing a fine job now.
