I received the printer the same day that I ordered it. In anticipation of it's arrival, I removed my old Epson WF-2850. It served me well over the years but clearly got to a point that it had seen better days. On to my new Canon PIXMA TS6520. Right out of the box, the instructions were straight forward, and directed you to an online setup option. That made the process of installing the software application a breeze. It walked you through ink cartridge installation and connecting to the home WiFi. In fact, it was pretty well point and click. I printed a couple of test pages and was impressed at it's speed (compared to my previous model) as well as the fine detail in the print quality. Like all printers, ink is the constant annoyance and this printer seems willing to carry on that tradition. Cartridges are expensive. They do offer "print plans" that require monthly memberships but do provide you with a discount on your ink purchases dependent upon the plan you choose. I suspect that if you work from a home office and do a fair amount of printing and scanning, the membership would probably be beneficial. You're able to manually select scanning from the printers on screen menu, or you can also initiate it from the software that's provided by download. The paper drawer is in front and underneath the unit. Much better than my previous model that had the paper "slot" in the back. Time will tell if this device holds up. I no longer do the volumes of printing and scanning that I once did but when I need one, I need one. And so far, this device seems a good choice. ... show more

This printer does NOT work with my Chromebook wirelessly! It works with USB ONLY. It seems to print well, it does not work for the reason I bought it for. I have only used it for documents.

I’ve only had the Canon PIXMA TS6520 for a day, but so far I’m impressed. For the price, it’s a solid all-in-one printer. Setup was quick and easy on both my Mac and iPhone, and it connected to Wi-Fi without any trouble. The prints look great, especially in photo mode. I did a few test prints and the colors came out vibrant and clear. I’m planning to pick up some photo paper soon and really see what it can do with my art and photography projects. One thing that stands out is the scanner quality. It’s much higher resolution than the one on my laser printer, which makes a big difference when scanning detailed artwork or photos. I also like that it can print edge-to-edge, which is perfect for borderless photos. The main downside for me is Canon’s push toward an ink subscription service. I understand the convenience, but I don’t like feeling pressured into another recurring payment. It seems like every company is moving to that model these days, and I’d rather just buy ink as I need it. Overall, this printer delivers very good performance for the money. If it stays reliable over time, I’ll be happy with my purchase. If problems crop up later (as sometimes happens with inkjets), I’ll come back and update my review. ... show more

Very nice printer! Super easy to set up right out of the box, it basically walked me through everything. It came with everything needed except the paper, and it even self-calibrated on its own. Print quality is sharp and clean. Easy to use and I can now print wirelessly from all the devices in my home. Great value for the money. Really happy with this one. ... show more

A really nice inkjet at a very attractive price. I downloaded the suit of applications from Canon, and it works well with Windows. Printing and scanning are very simple and easy. It was easily attached to my network and no problems with configuration at all. I am coming from a Ubuntu environment and this is much easier. The print quality on photopaper seems exceptional to my admittedly older eyes. The printer/scanner seems very well made and solid. My only complaint about this machine is the cost of the ink. My other printers are an old HP Laserjet and an Epson Eco tank, the cost per page is much lower on both of them. This may become my "special purpose printer". ... show more
