This is a very nice, inexpensive printer. It’s the latest [replacement] for expensive printer after expensive printer. I could buy three of these, is what I reasoned. This printer is small and has less features but it’s ready to print from my phone immediately, it stays on, I don’t need to go to that room and turn it on. I screenshot/print all the time, print e-mail. Print quality seems fine. The speed is ok, I find I wasn’t using all those other features, just a quick print of what I see, a pic from my 📱 The ink cartridges aren’t particularly expensive, fiddling with those little bottles was more wasteful, especially since the printers don’t work. You can’t really get a printer fixed, even if it is only 6 months old! The cartridges are not messy. You will need them fairly soon. I’m just a person at home, I print from my porch, I’ve had this about a month & I’m quite satisfied. ... show more

    • Good value. Easy to setup and use
I had a really nice All-In-One HP printer but it was such a hassle to use. It wasted a ton of ink every time I turned it on or ran maintenance and eventually would not print color anymore (likely due to infrequent use). The printer also complained loudly when using aftermarket cartridges and didn't like to be "offline" and not connected to the mothership at HP. This Canon printer is the complete opposite. It was super easy to set up, connected to my internet quickly using the phone app. The app also installed quickly and easily on my computer and everything just works. It doesn't constantly run long maintenance cycles that needlessly burn through ink and the scanning and printing quality is reasonable for my needs. It doesn't take up as much space as my older HP but does "feel" like cheaper materials were used (not unexpected at this price point). So far, no paper jams or other issues with this printer. ... show more

    • Can do 8x10 and Photo Glossy.... Can't do both at the same time... and NO SUPPORT!
I went with a Canon because my other printer is a canon. I was hoping to go with something similar just cheap enough to get the job done while my other printer was in the shop getting repaired..... Let's start with complaint #1 It advertises it can do letter size prints, 8x10, YEAH!... It advertises that it can print on glossy paper, YEAH!!!! What it doesn't advertise is it cannot do both at the same time. In fact it seems to be really avoiding stating this little 'feature' as though it wanted you to assume it could. Complaint #2 It advertises Support available. Support that when you click the link takes you to a page that does not exist and asks you to log in.... even though you are already logged in.... and when you login again the only options it gives you are community support... IE ask the other people who are also pissed about this little 'feature' for help. The few responses that I saw from actual Canon support on the community forums amounted to pointing at videos which completely did not answer the question or when finally pinned down, responded 'of course it doesn't do that, it never said that it did'.... #3 Okay, so I can't do either of these together... does it atleast do one of these well? Well it prints grainy or it prints tiny.... those are your two choices..... #4 Well at least it's cost effective....The printer cartridges should last until my repaired printer gets back to me? Nice in theory, but of the 4 grainy pages I did print, it took the cartridges down to 75%.... brand new cartridges, they weren't even full page prints, most of the page was white space..... That is ridiculous. I have had the printer for all of 6 hours and I am so glad that Amazon has a return policy that is no hassles, because I've already submitted for return and refund on the grounds that this product description is just flat out wrong. I ordered a simple printer that was cost effective, would print 8x10 glossy and while the cartridges were a little expensive, it would get me through till my printer was fixed.... I haven't even made it to the UPS store with my original printer to be shipped off and this new one has even failed at being a crutch. 0 Stars! Buyer beware! You don't even get what you pay for with this neutered and unsupported piece of landfill space. AVOID ... show more

Fast setup, only took about 4 minutes. Works perfectly. You can quickly print directly from your smartphone. Very convenient!!!! If you have basic user interface computer/ smartphone skills you can make a connection in just seconds and be completely setup in minutes. Excellent value for price, very happy, ink for this unit is much cheaper than other comparable models from different brands. Parts are made in Japan and other parts from Vietnam. Everything is great, much appreciated, thanks so much! No paper jams to date, scanner works great and copy feature is flawless. Plastic is a bit thin on the body of the unit, but should hold up for at least a few years. Recommended if you get it on a deep discount like I did. ... show more

Fantastic basic printer for home office. Fairly easy and quick installation.. Printing is crisp and dark..and nice size for a home office. Quiet printing.....the only disappointment so far is that it doesn't do envelopes as in the description.

Great printer, great value for the price, easy setup on-line directions with my computer. A little bigger than I expected, but not a problem. Replacement ink cartridges are reasonably priced. My husband has a laptop in another room and his computer automatically "found" this one (you can have several household computers and even phones connected). Now he doesn't have to send a document to me to print. Haven't used the scanner option yet, so no comment on that. Only downside I see is if the WiFi drops out for some reason, there is NO USB connection available. Best thing I think is the unit is NOT made in China!!! Yay! ... show more

I absolutely love it. I’m at 52 year-old boat, Captain who’s horrible with technology. I’ve had the same computer and printer since 2006 (computer had a cracked screen that couldn’t be replaced) Needless to say it was time for an upgrade. I bought a MacBook Pro and needed a new printer. My old printer was a cannon so I thought why not and the price was right. I let it sit in a box for over a week cause I was too scared to set it up. The entire set up, took all of 20 minutes and it hooked up to my Wi-Fi perfectly. I am now up with the times. My old Cannon USB cord worked with this printer since it didn’t come with one. (I had to get an adapter to go into the Mac since it’s USB-C I believe.) but after the Wi-Fi set up so easy I realize I don’t even need that cord. I had to print two permission slips for daughter school last night something I would’ve been very stressed about before with my old printer/computer set up. I printed the forms directly from my phone and almost cried happy tears. If you are terrible at technology, I promise this printer is easy to set up, at least I got lucky I hope you do too. I have a small antique desk and it takes up a good amount of it, but not enough to store it elsewhere. I do have to turn it sideways to print because it loads from the back, unlike my old printer, but that’s very easy to do and it’s light and I don’t print much. ... show more
