Setup was problem free and no issues, hook up the cord, ink, put in paper, go to website and follow the instructions. No subscription required for ink (the large positive). I have only printed one page thus far so while this review may be premature, if all stays the same, would highly recommend. I searched several days before settling on this printer and it may be one of the few without longstanding bugs or other hang ups. Update: Paper feeder will take more than one sheet of paper and it will feed out with the printed (assuming design flaw). Firmware update very clunky, uses web browser with unsecure connection, never did it as a result. ... show more

I am building some workbooks for my friends and wanted to print them at home. I really wanted a compact printer, and the TS3720 folds up nicely and is easy on the eyes. It's easy to use, especially for duplexing, setting page size, and changing the cartridges. I haven't used the scanner. The ink cartridges it comes with are labelled "starter" and might have less ink in them than the replacements you buy when they run out. I'm printing color forms (lower density than full text), so if you're curious I printed 162 lightly colored letter-size pages, 26 grayscale pages, and six 8x10 full color photographs before the black ink ran out, and the color is starting to band (run out). The ink monitor turned yellow and gave me a warning it was running low a little after 60 pages (including the photos), so it will go a really long time after warning you. I've used draft/standard/high quality settings and the printer does a great job. I'm especially pleased that it doesn't lock you out from printing to the end of the cartridge like some others I looked at. ... show more

    • Can do 8x10 and Photo Glossy.... Can't do both at the same time... and NO SUPPORT!
I went with a Canon because my other printer is a canon. I was hoping to go with something similar just cheap enough to get the job done while my other printer was in the shop getting repaired..... Let's start with complaint #1 It advertises it can do letter size prints, 8x10, YEAH!... It advertises that it can print on glossy paper, YEAH!!!! What it doesn't advertise is it cannot do both at the same time. In fact it seems to be really avoiding stating this little 'feature' as though it wanted you to assume it could. Complaint #2 It advertises Support available. Support that when you click the link takes you to a page that does not exist and asks you to log in.... even though you are already logged in.... and when you login again the only options it gives you are community support... IE ask the other people who are also pissed about this little 'feature' for help. The few responses that I saw from actual Canon support on the community forums amounted to pointing at videos which completely did not answer the question or when finally pinned down, responded 'of course it doesn't do that, it never said that it did'.... #3 Okay, so I can't do either of these together... does it atleast do one of these well? Well it prints grainy or it prints tiny.... those are your two choices..... #4 Well at least it's cost effective....The printer cartridges should last until my repaired printer gets back to me? Nice in theory, but of the 4 grainy pages I did print, it took the cartridges down to 75%.... brand new cartridges, they weren't even full page prints, most of the page was white space..... That is ridiculous. I have had the printer for all of 6 hours and I am so glad that Amazon has a return policy that is no hassles, because I've already submitted for return and refund on the grounds that this product description is just flat out wrong. I ordered a simple printer that was cost effective, would print 8x10 glossy and while the cartridges were a little expensive, it would get me through till my printer was fixed.... I haven't even made it to the UPS store with my original printer to be shipped off and this new one has even failed at being a crutch. 0 Stars! Buyer beware! You don't even get what you pay for with this neutered and unsupported piece of landfill space. AVOID ... show more

This printer is easy to set up. Ink comes with it. I have printed 15+pages already with mostly the black ink and it looks great. The price is great for a great printer and u don't have to set up an account. It's pretty straight forward u download an app.

    • Good printer but eats ink cartridges
It functional but not the most sturdy. I had it ,printed out about 100 pages & it showed Liw ink already. Bought 2 more Blk only ink est $42+. I think it should have printed more pages. Will put new one in & see how many pages it prints.
