I've only had this printer a few days, and I've only printed a few items, but I'm very happy with it so far. It's quiet and it prints precisely. Setup went okay, with only minor struggles, even for this very technologically challenged person! 😃 The ink has hardly gone down. I was surprised because from others' reviews, I thought the initial setup would drain it nearly 50%. So this was a nice surprise. It prints very slowly, but that's not a huge issue right now. And anyway, it prints so well I can forgive that little inconvenience. I hope to come back and update my review in a few months or so, when I've had more time to try it out.

I was back and forth on buying this printer for months ..... main reason were the reviews stating how much ink this thing wasted and ate up , etc .... well I am very glad I finally decided to just go for it as all of those reviews were all so far off the mark from my point of view. I now have printed well over 60 photos since owning it ( about 5 - 13x19 prints , 30 letter , rest 4x6 and 5x7 ) So far I have had to change the Pure black cart ( expected in general , but especially after printing a bunch of B&W photos ) and will have to change the grey in the next day or so .... that is it ... I have printed at least 1 photo at least every day with an exception or 2 where i skipped a day ... After the skipped days the printer merely did an " agitation " period to stir the ink up , but did not use any ink ... As far as the speed , I am not sure how fast someone expects quality photos to print at home without spending thousands of dollars on printers ... no 13x19 print took more than 2 mins ... that is more than fast enough for home use .... again this is not meant to run a print business with . This thing makes beautiful prints and am more than happy with my purchase of it ..

Wow! Is this a fantastic printer. Super easy to set up, top notch printing, and connected immediately with my Windows 10 laptop. I've used it to print Fine art prints as well as greeting cards with fantastic results.

So far, the Canon Pro-300 has surpassed any expectations I might have had. It’s been conservative with ink. I have replaced cartridges for black and gray but I’ve printed a few B&W pieces and expected that. The color representation is stunning. Printing on high gloss photo paper doesn’t hurt. It’s my first Canon printer and it was over my budget, but I get prints I like without paying a professional printer for copies I often don’t like. The savings will come. I’ve printed a few 12x17 inch pics with it and that was equally great. I haven’t printed on any CD’s yet but still having fun with printing artwork. Ink is at this writing around $120.00 vote all ten cartridges. Two cartridges of ink for my cheaper HP printer costs the same. That printer is ok but geez, the ink has always been expensive. So, yes. I recommend this printer. If you can afford it, buy it. If you’re like me you’ll probably make a few mistakes so you might want to print some practice pics on cheaper paper. It’s a great printer.

I’m a professional photographer who uses this printer for most of my small to medium size prints. So far, a month or two into using it, the Pro 300 gives superior and very pleasing results when compared to previous Canon and Epson 13” photo printers I’ve owned over the past 15 years or so. Part of this is due, no doubt, to the range of ink colors including two different blacks and gray. Speaking of ink, I’m pretty certain that I will save a considerable amount of money on cartridges over the long haul when I compare cartridge prices with the comparable Epson model. The Pro 300 seems a little slower than the Pro 9000 Mk II that it replaced in my studio, but this is no great concern. It is clearly a big step up in every other regard, including build quality, although that 9000 served me well for several years. In short, I highly recommend the Pro 300.

I bought this printer on Amazon almost three years ago. The print quality is fantastic, and photos print easily from iPhone and iPad using Canon’s app, which prints dvd labels, brochures, etc. easily as well. I just got a “1700” error code for “absorber pads almost full, call service”. I called service. When the pads are full, the printer won’t work. This indicates that the printer is coming to the end of its life, and needs to be replaced. The rep was very nice and offered a $90.00 discount on a new one.

Print quality is superb! Not quite as strong is the software linking the Canon Printer with an iMac. Was forced to hire an expert to show me how to add the 13" x 19" Photo Paper Pro Luster A3+ to the Canon Menu w/o which the Canon message was consistent - Paper and Size Don't Match. I have been told that this language "glitch" has been rectified. Hope that is correct, because it caused me a great deal of frustration and a substantial additional charge to have a Geek Squad come to my rescue. NOW, print perfection is a tap away from delivering superior prints! Love it!

The printer is great. Makes good prints with old paper and no need to make a custom ICC for it. Ink seems to last and simple test prints came out right from the start. However. I downloaded all the drivers and SW before it arrived and put it on my MAC. I have OS14/Sonoma and when the printer arrived the Canon printing SW had bugs in it. I had to kludge the prints one-at-a-time and restart the SW each time. Canon kind of fixed the SW, but the networking SW hung on the MAC network. I had to input the printer IP address to get it to work. The plugins for Photoshop 25 to launch the Canon prints SW still do not work through Photoshop 25. Great printer, but their support of Apple/MAC is poor from what I have seen.
