  • A life saver during Hurricane Ian
Bought this unit a year ago in anticipation of storm related power outages. Although we were at the edge of Hurricane Ian, we lost power during the height of the storm. When wind and rain died down, I slid generator outside and hooked up power cord to inside freezer, refrigerator, some lights, coffee maker and cell phone chargers. Started on second pull. Ran continuously for almost 60 hours. Gas was not easy to find, so at one point it ran continuously for more than 14 hours (as advertised). Many neighbors had bigger units (>5000 watts). More power than they needed and theirs ran for only 8 hours on twice as much gas. We are very, very happy with this unit. Paid for itself simply by protecting frozen and refrigerated goods (and making sure I had my morning coffee!). Also, when my gas powered chain saw ran low on bar oil while cutting downed trees, this unit worked fine for my small electric chain saw (14" beaver tail). I hope we do not have another Ian, but I am happy to have this unit taking up very little space in our garage and knowing it will start if and when I need it! ... show more

  • The worse customer service I have ever experienced
I bought this generator because of the reviews and because I live off-grid. I am 66 years old and needed an easy-start generator and loved this one until it stopped functioning correctly. It no longer is easy to start and I have not been able to start it at all for several months. I reached out to the manufacturer and the seller more than 3 times and have yet to hear a peep. I do not know what to do at this point but as a long-term Amazon customer I am completely saddened and it has changed my opinion a lot. This was a big purchase for me and one I cannot easily replace and with me living off the grid it is a necessity. It has been difficult without a generator and it will take me a while before I can afford another ... show more

  • Easy
This is like the generator for dummies. Very easy to use very easy to understand. I had it powering a small portable air conditioning unit with no problems. Just make sure you check the oil level before startup.

  • It’s ok
I bought this generator for hurricane ida and ran almost non stop for 5 days (turned off for about 30 minutes each day and to refill). It’s definitely reliable and it didn’t use much fuel, but I very much have my doubts about the advertised capacity. According to the wattage ratings, it should have been able to power a 5000 btu window unit and a smaller fridge. It absolutely could not. It could barely handle the fridge by itself. It’s not a bad generator, just take the wattage ratings with a grain of salt. ... show more

  • Not capable of running rated Watts
I bought I bought the PM 2000 less than a year ago. I bought it to run a little stuff and to recharge my eco-flow my batteries and maybe running coffee pot at my cabin. I have noticed that this thing is not capable of being able to handle the rated Watts. It says 1400 continuous but it can't even run 1100 W continuous. My little coffee maker is 600 watts I have an eco-flow power bank that pulls around 500 watts when charging. If I try to run the coffee pot and charge my ecoflow it cannot handle it. I recommend the Westinghouse 2200 what 1800 continuous. It also uses less fuel than the pm 2000 ... show more

  • Arrived Damaged. Seller/MFG couldn't located model/serial to send replacement parts
I let this thing sit in the box for one year before opening (My fault) Finally i got around to opening and noticed a huge hole in the side of the cardboard. Unpacked the unit and the control panel interface that has the knob for start/stop/run and the electrical outlet and circuit resest was destroyed. The plate was bent all up and the outlet was in pieces... I called the seller/mfg and despite sending them pics of the box, serial number, model number they could not locate the schematic information about the unit i bought to send me the replacement parts. (Ridiculous) but my fault for letting it sit a year and return window expire. I went to lowes and bought a new outlet and circuit switch and got it running... i will need to straighten out the plate that houses the assembly so i can hopefully reconnect it but it does run and produce power. Hopefully this thing will run a fridge and charge some phones in an emergency... but next time i won't buy this brand. ... show more
