Not New in Bulk Packaging, Not Like New, Bad! Won't Charge!
Sold as NEW in Bulk Packaging. Not only wasn't this new but could easily see the contacts were used and it wouldn't even take a charge. Orange light just blinked, didn't stay steady, tried more than once. Not New, not Like New, Not even Fair!

Addtional "Genuine" Canon Battery
The Canon batteries are expensive. No doubt, but you always need two. One for the camera and one for the charger. This way you're always ready for those pictures. There are lots of third party companies selling replacement batteries at half the Canon price, maybe even less. In my expereince, those batteries are good, but they are not the Canon real thing. My experience is that the third party batteries don't last as long (some as short as 6 months before they die and are thrown out) and they rarely have the same capacity as the original battery. This means that half way through the event your camera dies. For me, its the original or nothing based on my past experience with the third party batteries.

Capacity too small
Canon really dropped the ball on this one. What even bother put out this small capacity battery? Why?! I have to carry two batteries all the time. During the trip to Japan, when you just cannot stop taking pictures of everything, I found even two weren't enough sometimes, especially we stayed out well into the night. I sincerely wish, nay, DEMAND, Canon put out a high capacity battery with the same size.

Seems to be genuine
Seems to be taking a charge and functioning normally and it looks exactly like the battery that came with my EOS-M down to the very last detail (except the manufacture date stamp is 2015 not 2012...) Not the greatest value out there but that seems to be the way it goes with OEM batteries. I've seen 3rd party batteries die sooner and even swell up. Since I'm relying on my M3 exclusively for wide angle shots on an upcoming road trip, it's worth it to me to spend a few extra bucks and have two batteries I know I can count on.

Packaging was weird but
Even tho the battery looked used bc it was just wrapped in bubble wrap, no Canon box, nothing...it seems to work well! Maybe I missed that shipping was not prime or in original packaging. Just giving an honest review from, well, my POV! ✌🏼💜🦋💜✌🏼

Reliable!
I brought this as a backup battery for my Canon M50. I do vlog quite a lot and because the batteries tend to die a little faster on this type of camera versus a DSLR I wanted to stick to canon, I like all parts of any of my cameras to be from the same manufacturer. I’m a snob that way, but hey it’s reliable, you can trust it, and that’s the comfort I need when spending the cash and powering on.

I purchased for my camera HD
I purchased for a HD camera I own. We needed to update and refresh my batteries for this camera. Great value, great quality. Overall, great product.

Identical to other battery as far as I can tell.
Essential for any serious photography or video, nothing worse than having to stop shooting to charge a battery for two hours. With this I usually have enough to do a full day video shooting swapping between the two and having one always on the charger.
