I've been using these knives for a little while now and they are WOW. Really freaking sharp too. My wife sliced through her finger while cutting vegetables one night. She didn't realize it at first cause the cut was so clean. Care instructions say you should hand wash and dry after each use. This helps keep the knives beautiful. While slicing, the handle feels good while holding for a long time. One of the main features I like is the handle is part of the overall metal. I have used the kitchen shears for cutting chicken bones effortlessly. With the shears able to come apart, I can easily clean them when I am done. After 4 months of use for a busy family, they are still very sharp. A little work on the honing steel and I start slicing. This is the most expensive knife set I've owned and it does not disappoint. I expect to own this set for a long while with proper care and sharpening. If you gave this away as a gift, that person will always think of you since they may never find a better set of knives. ... show more

This is a very nice knife set! We owned a set of Wusthof and I’m just as impressed with these. I feel like these are a good variety of sizes and lots of different utilities. They look very elegant and have a nice weight. I also was impressed that it came with a set of steak knives set in the same knife block. These knives are very sharp and that has been a little bit of an adjustment for me. One of the few gripes I have about it is that if you accidentally scraped the knife block with the tip of the night while putting in it definitely leave scratches that are noticeable due to the dark color / stain on the knife block wood. With that being said this is a knife set we plan on having for a VERY long time. We would absolutely recommend! ... show more

Knives come individually packaged in the box. They along with the holding block are heavy which is a sign of quality, they are made of strong feeling German steel. Handles are good to hold while cutting, and blades are pre-sharpened so be careful opening it, I managed to get a little cut doing so. I love that these are white! They come with a hand sharpener. The scissors work really well (I made artichokes and they cut them like a dream. The base is smaller than others with the same amount of knives.

This knife set is a huge upgrade from my previous set. It truly is a beautiful set and the knives are wonderful quality. It has everything you could need. My only complaint is that I don’t like how the kitchen shears come apart when fully opened.
